Why is my boyfriend hurting me?

My boyfriend bite, scratch, or squeeze various parts of my body while making love. This feel good, but in the morning when I'm taking a shower, I'm all bruised up and the water stings. What is noticeable is the hickeys on my neck, arms, and face. I talked to him about it and he told me that he was sorry and he just got carried away a little. Somebody said that he is "marking his territory." What is your opinion? For the record, I don't have low self esteem or was abuse as a child.

This happens, for some people it is a way to release sexual tension with out having an orgasm. There isn't anything wrong with it and from my experience it is perfectly natural, just get him to tone it down a bit. If it feels good for you then tell him it feels good while you are doing it but that he just shouldn't do it that hard. Hope that helped.

As far as marking his territory, I wouldn't be able to tell unless I knew how he treated you out side of having sex. If he is caring and respectful and considerate, then he is just trying to pleasure you cause he sees your reaction while you're doing it, but if he treats you like crap and frequently ignores you then he is just doing what makes him happy and he is getting some kind of sick pleasure out of hurting you. Like I said it just depends on his personality.

=L men tend to get a bit carried away sometimes that's all can be said for it although hickeys sometimes are to mark territory as they are usually in places where other people can see them, this also could be like a medal to him so others know "he got some"
