What does it mean if a guy talks naughty like this?

I've known this guy for about 7 months but not quite close. We've been flirting now and then actually. About a week ago when we were chatting, he suddenly said (first time like this) 'I'm really exhausted, wish I could take some days off and travel to the beach blah blah and that 'it'd be great to have you massage my body for me when sunbathing haha. Would you say yes if I asked you to help with that'. After I said no that I'd only do that for my boyfriend, he never talked like that again, started to treat me even nicer and is always polite (even told me he thinks he likes me but please give him some time). So I wondered, what did he mean by talking like that, especially I'm sure he knew I'm not that easy type of girl and he actually never tried to take me to his place or anywhere alone? Is that the way a guy normally do to see if he can get sex? Or he was just kidding around as guys love talking naughty?
