Yeast infection and telling?

Ok so sorry-- this may be sort of disgusting but I really really need to know the answer. So I am 16 and since about age 13 I think I have had a yeast infection. When I first got it, I honestly had no idea that something was wrong and I just kind of pushed the issue to the back of my mind. And then it kind of went away for a while (the itch went away, not a ton of discharge but a definite smell). But lately, I think it's been getting really bad. So I get this smelly discharge extremely often. It smells like that milk formula you give babies in a bottle- so I guess it has a yeasty smell. I always get the discharge after I go to the bathroom and then usually like 20 other times throughout the day. Sometimes the discharge is really watery and other times it is really mucus-y and looks sort of like snot. It's usually a clearish white color, which I know is normal but I get it so extremely much that I know it can't be normal. On the inside of the lips (labia?) are these tiny little bumps. I know they are not an STD because I have never had any form of sex. The bumps are basically all over and have a whitish color. I've been pretty itchy down there lately, since it's been getting worse. One time I told my mom I thought I had a yeast infection so we went to the drugstore and got one of those yeast infection inserts that you do for like three nights. But the thing is that it didn't clear up the infection. I guess I'm kind of afraid to tell my mom about it. I don't know why because she would prob just take me to the doctor. Anyways, anybody know what is wrong? I really need help.

  • You need help indeed.

It could be a yeast infection again(those are often recurrent and stubborn), or it could be vaginitis, salpingitis or another infection.

You should definitely go to the doctor with that: on an internet forum you will not find a doctor and if there was one, he could not give a diagnosis reading your words on the screen. In the best case, he'd give suppositions, not a diagnosis or treatment. If it remains untreated it could even make you incapable of having children or in the worst (rarest) case give something akin to the TSS (toxic shock syndrome)

So, tell your mother. I'm no doctor, just a father and husband who has some experience.

Why be afraid of the doctor: not sure he will need to examine closely and if he has to, he's a doctor who's seen it all, tenths or hundreds of times. You're just patient number so much this week. Nothing exceptional, just "another vaginal infection": he sees them by the dozen, you can be sure about that! (yes, my wife too has things like that)

    GO!

(and don't worry or be ashamed: nearly every women has this kind of thing sometimes, it's very common, but it MUST be treated or you will be ill from it for a long time)

  • Guys- Ugh! I hate the genital area lol I'm uncircumcised and I've had balantis, penile yeast infections, you name it. My hygiene was the issue and I didn't even realize that it was because I wasn't as healthy down there as I could've been so I started using a penis health creme. It's crazy how fast it started working. I'm so much healthier, cleaner and ready to go down there. Man1 Man Oil has a money back guarantee.

  • You can get a bacterial infection that is similar symptoms to yeast but it's actually from your Uhm backdoor. That's why your supposed to wipe front to back dear. It'sVery important you tell your mom because #1 that medicine you treated for the wrong thing has now killed all the "good" yeast guys that control the balance of bacteria. #2 this can spread through your reproductive system and actually cause you to become sterile, meaning you can't have babies. So GO TO YOUR MOM ASAP and tell her how long you've been dealing with this.

  • You need to go to the gynecologist ASAP. Infections are serious and you need to get it taken care of

    • Thnx :)
