well like thin cotton shorts or even or gym shorts you can see it. sometimes when I wear gym shorts you can see the outline. and actually there is one pair of gym shorts I have that its very noticeable I don't know if its the color of the shorts or that they are really thin but one day when I was looking in the mirrior I really noticed. but he could of start to get a boner. and I can't speak for anyone else but my boner doesn't point up its more like 45 degrees
