Guys: a guy friend found out I am on my period and got grossed out?

alright, so one of my guy friends (not boyfriend, just guy friend) were hanging out in between classes on campus and I was digging through my purse to find my phone and once I found it the case has become attached to a tampon that I also had in my purse. so when I took out my phone the tampon came with it. he saw it and like freaked out... he seriously said 'ew that's so gross!' I just politely said 'well when a girl has a period these are kind of a necessity..." he got really quiet and told me he had to go to his next class, which I know didn't start for another 45 min. I'm 22 and he is 23... I mean I seriously think he was being immature... he is 23 years old. he should understand that periods are a natural process and happen to most every woman... What do you guys think about this situation? how would you have reacted? are you grossed out by periods?

LOL I guess he lives under a rock. Has happened at times to me, we laugh. Some gfs would use my pockets for a purse, when they wanted to travel light. Once, tampon left in my coat pocket with change. Yea, pulled tampon out with change. One girl (not my gf) smiled, said "need help using it" so I said "sure, show me". Everyone lol, even my gf.

Tell that guy to stay under his rock. I thought guys got more brains by his age.

Even think of saying to him, "that time of month for the phone"?

btw...my wife used to stash tampons everywhere...lol...in the glovebox of my truck, int the glovebox of my boat, in my fishing bag...I mean they were everywhere! <3<3<3=D

Never had a guy react like that by just seeing a tampon, yes I've seen it happen when your talking about that stuff but that's understandable! Has he never dated or is he gay? I have noticed gay men are more sensitive to that kind of stuff! Either way he needs to grow up and realize that you didn't do that on purpose and that it's natural! If he ever wants a wife he's gonna have to deal with that kind of stuff

That guy is weird. I've never had a guy I was friends with or dated act like that when he saw a tampon. Most guys will even ASK me when I start because they are generally curious.

That guy is weird and rude/immature for acting like that. You can't help that you have a period. And 99% of guys know this and are understanding of it

Sounds more like a 10 year old than a 23 year old. I would of just laughed. Most guys aren't totally sheltered from life so I'm sure most wouldn't of had any reaction to that situation at all.
