Girls, do you have a linea nigra? and guys do you find linea nigra gross?

its a line that is underneath your belly button and goes down towards your lady parts. I have one and I hate it:( its pretty dark and obvious looking. I once had a boy ask me if it was a c section scar (he obviously didn't know what a c section was but w/e) I was so embarrassed. another time I was letting this guy take pictures of me in my undies (we were just fooling around) and he specifically took his hand and covered the line to take a picture of my stomach area (I have a fairly flat stomach). I was like yeah I know that line is gross you don't have to remind me. >.< I wish it would go away I've never had any kids before and its been their most of my whole life. I feel like when I take my clothes off guys think I have a gross body. so my question is girls do you have one? are you okay with it? do you have any idea how to get rid of it? and my question to guys is do you find it gross if a girl has it? even if she has never had kids?

  • I think the linea nigra line is very sexy, it is unique and different on each women, as is a dimple on their cheek when they smile and laugh, when happy and over joyed, and should not be thought of as a detraction in an way of a women's beauty.

Research says that all males and females have one. visible or not, it's there.

If the one you are with feels that it is "gross", then they, themselves are the ones that are to short sighted, closed minded, and to self absorbed to even judge what real beauty is.

It is most prominently visible on women while pregnant, and I see/feel that when a woman is pregnant, that they have a "glow" to them , a radiance of beauty.

Personally,,,, I love all the little lines, curves, creases, angles and the perfectly perfect, little things, seen by some as "imperfections", that are part of how a women is put together.

So take this away with you, feel lucky, this might just be a sign of your inter, radiance, glow, and beauty, that only some can see and appreciate.

  • I have known a few girls with a happy trail, I liked it, no bother. One was like you, felt it was really grossed out. But when we would go to different beaches, she got hit on all the time (very revealing biniki). I teased her, saying she seemed to be only one who thought it gross.

I am sure there may be guys who are turn off, or not understand (he really thought a c section? Sorry, lol), but most won't care.

We, both girls and guys tend to focus on what we think is gross. Most people end not caring, after all it the whole person that counts :D

  • I don't have one. But don't worry. Looks don't complete a person and I bet you have lots of other bits you are proud of. Just ignore guys who make stupid comments, its cause they havn't grown up yet.

EVeryone is different, learn to love what you got or one day you wiull be old and wrikly and wondred why you didn't just make the most of the now and what you had.

I personally thin that what your talking about on girls look like they have a toned belly sometimes, like its a muscle line!

  • I used to have one and I've never been pregnant and obviously no kids. No guy has every had an issue with it. Its faded and gone away now that I'm older.

  • I don't have one but I think I can see the outlining(if I stare hard enough) to where I would get a prominent one when I become pregnant

  • Its not a happy trail. A happy trail is hair.

Anyway, they don't bother me in the least.

    • Correct... The line refereed to in the original post was the, linea nigra line. And all males and females have one. visible or not, it's there. So... The hair line you all be referring to is the. Sagittal hair line.-----The narrow vertical band of hair extending from the pubic hair towards the navel, often slang called a 'Treasure Trail' or 'Happy Trail'. The Sagittal hair is very common on males starting from puberty on. And can take on many forms of appearance. Shapes and densities. On both males and females, this line may appear, and or, appear and then disappear, often several time through out one life. If it does the latter, there is more information below. Another form is. Hirsutism, and it is caused by an excess production or action of hormones called androgens, secreted by the ovaries or adrenal glands and produced locally in the hair follicle. ... The two most common causes of hirsutism are polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and idiopathic hirsutism. Information for those that experience this. If it doesn’t go away, or seems to be spreading or getting thicker, follow up with your doctor. They may want to do a blood test to make sure the extra hair isn’t due to an underlying condition, such as: -----Cushing syndrome -----Acromegaly -----A tumor near your ovaries or adrenal glands. Please do your own follow up research. What I have posted above, was from my own quick Google search, and 10 minutes spent reading 25+ pages of information and research on these subjects and that was just to satisfy my own curiosity. As has been said before: Knowledge is King, so sometimes "Put On A Crown", just say'n.

  • it wouldn't bother me
