What do you think of nudity in movies/tv shows?

Is it necessary? Are you offended when you see it? should there be less?

  • Is it necessary? Probably not. Do I get a offended? No way. Should there be less? Not my place to say. I think they should put whatever they want to put and people will buy what they buy.

    Id prefer less violence over less nudity. I think violence probably has a much greater negative impact if you compare the two. I find it funny when people get offended/uncomfortable because of nudity or foul language, yet don't bat an eyelash when somebody gets blown in half or their brains blown out. By funny I mean disappointing because of how easily people can be conditioned. Even the slightest bit of introspective critical though would have a person asking, "why does a breast make me uncomfortable but mutilation and torture not bother me at all?" Yet no such thing ever occurs to them. Its sad really.

  • I'm not really offended. Sometimes I think it is necessary depending on the story line. Sometimes it just seems like they are putting it in just for the sake of it or to attract a certain type of viewer. Before I was more comfortable with myself and my body I didn't like it. It made me question if I had a good enough figure and also give me bad thoughts about myself. I couldn't look at any naked women for a while becuse of these thoughts.

  • Sometimes it is necessary but there have times when I watched movies and though "come on what does that have to do with anything?!" . I'm not offended by it though and I don't really have a opinion on whether there be be less or more.. as long as it actually fits into the plot and is relevant to the story I see no problem.

    Sometimes it can be excessive though, like when sex or nudity is thrown in that has no relevancy to the plot.. or like, "Let's throw in some titties so that the audience is distracted and doesn't realize how sh*tty this movie actually is". :D

  • I think there's way too much of it, not that I'm a prude or anything, but it seems more detail goes into a sex scene then a film's plot these days. I'd prefer a good storyline over seeing naked butts.
