There's so much you haven't accomplished in life and yet you're worried about dying a virgin? Why are people afraid of dying a virgin? I can sorta understand dying without having a family/kids but why virgin of all things? Having sex is the epitome of happiness and fulfillment? Please explain to me how this works.

Why are people afraid of dying a virgin?

In my opinion guys probably equate sex to masculinity and gals equate sex to how attractive they are to others. So virgin guys probably feel unmanly while virgin gals probably feel unattractive.

Sex is probably seen more in society and the media.

For some people thought more likely to most fearful virgins sex is the epitome of feeling desired by others.

I think the way people see it is that if they die a virgin it means they die without being in a relationship, die without having a family/kids, etc. "Dieing a virgin" encompasses many things...

You can have sex outside of a relationship and there are also many virgins who are in relationships.

when you say dying without having a family/kids, do you even know that sex is what causes babies to happen?

Duh of course. The people who say that are specifically talking about virginity. If they mean dying without first having kids they would say that. Besides you don't have to be a virgin to die without having kids.

Because sex is traditionally considered your final "rite of passage" in life. Many people feel that you haven't "fully" lived if you haven't had sex, and it's more of a regret than a fear.
