Signs a guy is a virgin?

I'm a little old fashioned, and I'm saving sex for marriage, I am a christian, and I also think its a wise thing to do. I would like to meet a guy who is also a virgin, it's not absolutely necessary, however is preferred. (this is not the only important aspect of a potential spouse to me. Personality, values, beliefs, kindness, loyalty etc are much more important, however I would prefer for him to also be a virgin if possible). I've recently met a guy, we're still getting to know each other. I'm 26, and he is 24, almost 25. He knows that I am a Christian, and how important my faith is to me, he claimed that he also "believes in Christ", which would make me assume he is also saving sex for.martiage as well. However I am aware that both his younger brother and sister are sleeping with their gf's bf's, however they are apparently not Christians. I am planning on asking him about his veiw on sex before marriage, and if he is saving it or if it is too late. However its a little early to be asking things like that at the moment. He's fairly attractive, however lacks in some social skills, he's a bit shy, and self concious. He's only had one girlfriend, 3 years ago, and the relationship lasted for 4 months. Apparently he used to be quite overweight in high school, and had low self esteem around girls especially as a result of it. He said he's never really been confident around girls. He's a really nice guy, and I want to get to know him better, especially before asking him whether he is a virgin or not. I know that he likes me. I'm hoping he'll tell me the truth when I ask him as well. So I'm wondering if there are any signs that a guy may be a virgin, in social settings? E.g. the ways a guy relates to girls etc. I would really appreciate any advice, tips on any tell tail signs that a guy may be a virgin. Thanks

You may have lucked out on him only having one shot at it and it was a brief relationship. I think the only way you will know for sure is to ask him. I am a Christian as well but I did not save that for marriage. (yes a sin, like many others you and I have comitted.)

I don't know of any other way other than his feedback. Intact hymen is out... :D

I have always hoped the people who didn't test drive the car before buying it aren't too bummed out that the gear shifter has a lot of slop in it and it doesn't handle for anything. Hope that is not the case. At least neither of you will have anything to compare it to.

It's kinda impossible although by your description he doesn't seem like the type who can easily gets sex. Speaking from a Christian point of view, I know how sacred it is to save your virginity before marriage, however if you really love this guy I think it shouldn't matter at all. So what if he made a mistake and had sex before? it doesn't make him any less worthy as a person. Didn't Jesus saved an adulterer from being stoned to death? it shows that what's important is not what you did before but how you atone and repent for your mistakes.

Thanks for your answer, but in my question, I stated that it is not necessary, however is preferred. I am understanding of past mistakes, I've made mistakes too. However it be nice if he is, and there is nothing wrong with me hoping for that. So I was hoping that people would specifically answer what I asked, which is are there any signs that a guy may be a virgin still, such as signs in social settings, how they relate to girls etc

Sorry I can't help to defend that guy (lol) since I don't want you to suspect him should he tells to you he's still a virgin. As I said it's kinda impossible to tell, by default if he's socially awkward then it's likely that he's still a virgin. You'll probably only find out for sure when you have sex with him for the first time. Oh but if he feels awkward to initiate skinship (or when you do it to him) then most likely he's still a virgin.

Well, the fact that he was overweight in high school, is socially awkward, and has only been in one relationship that only lasted 4 months might indicate that he's a virgin. But you can't REALLY tell for sure. He might've had sex with his ex girlfriend. I'm sort of betting that he did. Just because I think if he is a virgin, it has little to do with his desire to save himself for marriage. It probably has a lot more to do with his awkward social skills.

I would just ask him. I asked my boyfriend straight up before we even were officially dating. It was awkward but worth finding out new are both waiting as well

They're not really any signs to see if he is or not. But just because someone says they're Christian does not mean they are virgins, unless they're Mormon, then yes probably. If his younger siblings are having sex it's pretty safe to assume he has had sex before as well. Sorry but it's really hard to find someone that age that hasn't had sex yet.

Nothing specific, it's all stuff that you'd expect... lack of sexual knowledge and sexual confidence, and sometimes talking too much about sex also suggest that they're a virgin. But if he has only been in one relationship and it was only four months, there's a chance he may still be a virgin... If you date him and he doesn't seem very forward about initiating sex then he probably is a virgin.

I would say that shy guys are more likely to be virgins, as well as those who profess themselves openly deeply religious. I think another tell tale sign is their pace of things. If they rush into talking to you, asking you out, kissing you, etc.. then they probably aren't. You are also (forgive me) at the age where most guys will have had sex even if they are religious because they have been married or strayed from the path. Good luck to you.

Keep trying with the online dating, try a few different sites, put a lot of effort into your profile, and don't just say what you think girls want to hear, otherwise it will be boring. Just be authentic as yourself. You might have more success now that you're employed as well, as unfortunate as it is, if a guy is unemployed, its often an instant deal breaker for most girls. And trust me on this advice, I met my ex online :)

Yes any employment is much better than no employment. But I'm.not going to lie, girls much ptefer guys with university qualifications. Girls can't help but think down the line in the future, they're searching for a guy who can be a good provider in every way, including financial. Not all girls, but this is the case for the majority, most want to be Mothers one day, and not in financial crisid. Its not shallow as many may think.

well don't get me wrong, I don't plan on working in a grocery store for the rest of my life, I just want some sort of income at the moment while I'm working on my long-term goals, so yeah I'm 25 and I don't have a college degree yet, and I would not be comfortable having to wait until I have my life together in order to get a girlfriend, because I don't want to get my first girlfriend in my 30's, I want to experience dating and relationships in my 20's since I already missed out on my teen years
