First: yes, I know BJs are almost always a yay. But bear with me on this. I normally give my boyfriend blowjobs with him lying down on the bed. For me, a standing BJ is a "foreplay BJ". It's to get the motor warmed up for the main event.

If I'm going to get a BJ to completion, I'd usually prefer to be sitting/laying down. It's better for her that way, too, because it would probably take too long if I was standing up, and she'd get tired going that long. Laying down, I can relax and things can happen faster.

Standing BJs are great DURING sex, especially if you want to dominate the girl. They make a good transition from one position to another, but you're talking 2-3 minutes at a time, instead of 10-15 minutes. At least, that's how it works best for me.
