I have pictures of past girlfriends. Those girls are part of my past history, and from time to time, I want to look back and remember my past, just like I have pictures of friends and family. That doesn't mean I have ANY desire to get back together with any of them (I don't), and I rarely fantasize about being with them (maybe an occasional flash of an image in my head if I'm single).
Most guys are more about looking forward than backwards. There are obvious exceptions; you can tell when a guy is stuck on a girl from his past, because he won't shut up about her, but that's not typical.
And, no, I don't "compare" my current girl to past girls. I mean, I notice that there are differences, but differences are usually a GOOD thing (keeps things fresh and interesting), and if there is something the new girl doesn't do as well, I just teach her how I like it, just as I want her to tell me if she'd rather I did something differently for her.
The girls from my past are in my PAST. You can't go backwards, and I don't even think about doing so.

Some do. Some don't. Depends on the ex, and how they left things. Depends on the guy too.

Oh hell yeah, I thnk most guys do that.

Maybe a little disappointed. Maybe. Sometimes though the ex is an ex for a reason. Like, maybe she was an emotional wreck or a jealous and controlling insecure freak - in which case, it doesn't matter how good the sex was, you're just glad to be rid of her.

In bed performance, yes. That is indeed something we'd compare on.
I do think about how a few of my exes were in bed. Probably because they were really sexy or pretty good in bed. I try not to really compare. I don't think it matters that much in a relationship really. As long as I enjoy sex with the new girl I'm happy.
Occasionally I'll have a fantasy about an ex girlfriend but it isn't often at all.
Comparing sex happens every once in a while and if my current partner isn't as good, there's plenty of opportunity to get better at it!

We don't fantasize. But the pics are like little treasures we had to work hard to earn. It's just something we keep around to dust off and pat ourselves on the back for every once in a while. Don't know why we do it.. we just do.
