i think it has more of a negative connotation in our community, and many of the older people in our community frown upon it, people in the church (which has been a big part of the African American community historically and it still is) don't condone it either, in my experience. the message to me was that it was immoral, disgusting, filthy, and "that is not what god made your mouth for." in high school some of my black friends and I were completely turned off by the idea of oral sex and some of them stuck to that.
however, I don't think you can say most do or dont. Or at least I can't say that, but I'm just mentioning the attitude in the black community toward oral sex that I think is more negative than it is for white Americans. just my observation, I'm sure other black people may disagree. that's okay.
Ive heard it the other way around too - that black guys usually don't go down on women. But then I also heard that they specifically don't go down on black women...lol who knows. I've never been with a black guy, and even if I had been with one, it wouldn't be enough to judge that. I have black friends who have oral sex with their black partners though.
you should just take people as individuals though. the minute you start expecting one race of women to look a certain way, have certain traits, be into certain sexual things, or not into certain things, you may come across one who contradicts that expectation and be into her. personally, I'm all for oral sex, I love it! I think a lot of women are self conscious about their junk, so they don't want someone just staring at it. also some people are less comfortable being in that kind of vulnerable, passive state I guess. I don't share that specific insecurity, but you know, everyone is different. I'm pretty happy with mine. black women and white women and any other color of skin women all have the same body parts that all work the excet same way. So with that being said if someone doesn't like oral either giving or reciving it is a personal choice and has nothing to do with the color of their skin.
