Broken hymen or implantation bleeding?

I feel stupid for asking this question, but am feeling super worried and don't feel like there is anyone around to talk to about it. I lost my virginity on the 15th of this month. Didn't have trouble with bleeding. We had sex again on the 16th and 17t. Again, no bleeding though I was still pretty uncomfortable and probably didn't take him the whole way. I am on the pill and we used condoms, but the first time we did it at the very start, he was inside me a tiny bit without a condom. We had sex again on the 23rd, and afterward I noticed I had a dark brown discharge.Today (24th) I have no noticeable bleeding in my underwear, but its a little pink and there are some tiny tiny spots of bright red blood if I wipe. My period is due on the 3rd (I have been spot on every month since being on the pill). I never bleed throughout the month, and am now terrified of the light bleeding I have had being implantation bleeding. Could it be this, or is it just my hymen has broken? Last time we had sex it was still painful and was basically the first time I had let him 'control' things, so I'm torn in what to the think of this bleeding. I know people can't give me a definite answer here, but can anyone give me an idea so I don't have to wait out for my period feeling completely alone. Thanks!

  • Implantation bleeding typically consists of a discharge with a pink or brownish tint. It is often darker than period blood because it takes time for the blood to travel from the uterine wall through the vagina. The amount of bleeding is relatively light, and will only last a couple of days. For some women, the flow will resemble a very light period, which is why confusion between the 2 occasionally occurs. The majority of women find that menstrual blood is more of a red color and will become heavier within a day or 2.

Cramping with implantation bleeding is usually much lighter than what women might experience with a regular period.

Most home pregnancy tests are not an accurate predictor of pregnancy until the day after a missed period.

Tell me the date of your last period, is your period a 28day cycle? (It's to help me calculate the possibility of being pregnant, just to see if you had sex in the days you were most fertile)

Did he come inside of you? If so, how many times?

The blood pregnancy test usually becomes positive within 3-4 days after implantation, and the urine pregnancy test usually becomes positive 4-5 days after implantation.

    • My last period began on the 6th or March and would have lasted until around the 10th or 11th. I am on a 28 day cycle and very very accurate with when I'm due, right down to what time of day.He came inside me around 3 or 4 times, but we wore a condom each time and they never broke. My concern mainly comes from the fact the first time we had sex he entered me for a few minutes unprotected. He didn't ejaculate during this time, but I know that precum can cause pregnancy, even if the chances are low.

    • So, your period started on March 6th which would mark the first day and the time you didn't use protection was on the 15th which is when you lost your virginity. It happened on day 9 of your 28 day cycle. From day 10-16 is your most fertile days and since sperm can survive for 3 days, it would be from 7-16. Within the range of fertility. By the way, I've had sex without protection and was in a scared state too, fortunately I took the morning after pill because I was too worried.

    • We have done it a couple of times without protection but he never came inside and never got pregnant. I mean chances are slim but there are still possibilities of course. (I am not on the pill) You should get the pregnancy tests later to confirm. Did you see any of the signs up there that I posted?

  • It's improbable but possible you're pregnant.

The way to be sure: take an Early Pregnancy Test (EPT urine test ) , 14 days after unprotected sex (earlier you might get a false negative) , then -whatever the result is- repeat it a week later for confirmation.

Do NOT panic, panic can give you fake pregnancy symptoms.

If you need an early answer, have a blood sample taken & analyzed , one week after unprotected sex.

Planned Parenthood ( link ) can help you. Visit their site thoroughly, it's very well made.

    • Thanks. That makes me feel a little better. I know the chances are slim, but because I thought about it once, I can see every symptom of pregnancy in myself. It sucks! Irk don't get anything within the next week, I'll look into tests. Thanks for the link, you can never be too informed on these things.
