My boyfriend likes brunettes, but I am blonde

My natural hair color is brown, but I hate the way it looks naturally. I have pale, freckly skin and light blue eyes with light eyebrows. I also have a nose that sticks out and I think I look like a witch with dark hair. I've been adding blond to my hair for years now, and I was blond when I met my boyfriend. He said something to me recently that made me wonder. He told me that he used to exclusively only date brunettes. This kind of confuses me because I have lighter hair (it is like a dirty blonde- brown in some parts and blond in others). He tells me that he likes how my hair has both light and dark in it, but I can tell he still likes dark haired girls. Even though I like the way I look, I want my boyfriend to be attracted to me. I don't want him wishing he was with someone who looked different. Should I darken my hair?

This happen to me too I have a typical Italian dark brown hair color but bleach my hair blond and a guy I was involved with told me he loves brunettes and begged me to go back to being a brunette I didn't. I change my hair color when I feel like it and when in sick of the color I currently have. You are allowed to be in charge of you and I think a girl that changes for someone else is less attractive for your boyfriend then your blond hair.

He liked you when you were blond. It means there's something about you that he prefers more than girls with brown hair.

It does not matter. You are a brunette under the color. Have your hair what ever color suits you now.

He is with you because he likes you. People are more than their hair color. You should take comfort in the fact that he likes the rest of you enough to not give a sh*t that your hair color may not be what he typically goes for.
