Actors and sex scenes?

do they *really* get into it? and if they do, how does the guy not get an erection and the girl not get wet..if they do, isn't it embarrassing..i've always wondered about this..

I'm sure that some get turned some of the time but not usually. But that's why so many marriages break up where the guy ends up marrying his leading actress because they fell in love. There's a lot of rehearsing those love/sexy scenes that we don't see. However, what you don't see in each sexual scene is all the people that are standing around looking and giving directions, the bright lights and the shortness of scenes where the couple breaks up and then shoot another scene in an hour later or much longer, etc. It's hardly conducive to getting turned on when you're more worried about your lines and acting the way the director wants you do. Also, what we don't see is what goes on between the couples after their days work in the hotels, or beaches, etc. Some are having fun whereas other are probably studying their lines and practicing their dramatics.

No. They don't. They are professionals therefore they act professionally. They were special stuff to restrict their body stuff. If you've ever done theater you know that the cast are usually pretty close. We all know men gets erections so I think its expected and not necessarily taken personally. But no, they absolutely do not and cannot have sex under the Studio Actors Guild and other various state and Federal laws.

What if Leo DiCaprio was giving it to Kate Winslet? I doubt she'd really orgasm from twiggy.

Well, they're in a room with about forty people when filming these scenes, so I think the chances of getting REALLY turned on are pretty slim. You have lighting guys, the director, make up artists, guys holding sound booms, editors, et cetera all watching you pretend to get it on. From what my cousin's told me (he's an animator in Hollywood), most actors will have a drink or two to ease they're nerves and just go for it.

I have to agree..there are so many people in that room and you here "ACTION" and you have to try to get into the scene...you really don't have time to get that turned on. Some actors do safely tape their member to their leg just in case though...

I read somewhere once a female actor saying that when they do sex scenes, YES sometime the guys to get hard, but every-one just just try's not to make a big deal of it because the guy could get embarrassed etc.

So no they don't really get into it, but Yes they sometimes pop a boner.

well sometimes they do and sometimes they don't, I know when rob pattinson had to do a gay sex scene he didn't get into it lol but for my acting I've had to make out with a guy and I got pretty turned on lol

Well they do have to get into it to make their character seem believable, and I am sure they do get turned on sometimes, after all after movies actresses and actors start dating a lot of times, I think they just learn to hold it better, and also probably just don't let everyone see they are hard, they aren't actually naked during most of the sex scenes
