Attracted to Older Women ... How common is it?

How common is it for someone in their mid 20s be attracted to women in their 30-mid 40s? So to be honest I'm very sexually attracted to older women for some reason. Not super old like 50-60s but like 30s-40s. I'm in my mid 20's and guys go either way ...they go for younger and some go for older. I always tend to be the one younger guy that older women flirt with at the bar. I guess I see someone older as more of a challenge than a younger girl so I want it more? I've thought about making an intiative to talk to more older women at the bar but always feel awkward about it and just end up takking to girls my age. But are there older women out there that are into younger guys?

Had a 40 year old ask my number last night. Didint have to do a thing. I foundbher extremely attractive. Normally I chase girls but I find extremely attractive sometimes when the female is bold and has her way. I just want you older women to know many of you older women are hot and extremely attractive to some of us younger guys. You guys rock! Don't let your age make you self concious about yourself. Because you might be surprised a good looking younger guy might find you attractive!

    • True but even a little bit older than that. I've heard the sexual prime for women is at least 10 years older than men. So when men are declining...women are still might be in their prime and might seek someone younger.

    • Sexual prime and sexual attractiveness are two different things entirely. For women hitting "the wall" (end of fertility years) it just means they want to have sex more to fulfill that biological urge to have babies.

  • It's extremely common. I find older women to be far more beautiful, inside and out! At 24 years old, I'd easily consider a relationship with a woman twice my age. Some of my friends and family might freak, but I will do whatever makes me happy. I find that the older I get, the older I like my women to be. At the moment, 45 to 50 is perfect for me, but anywhere from 30 to 60 will work :)

She's not shy, and will actively seek what she desires... Am I on the right track? For me, it's to the point where if I see a 40 year old woman standing next to a 25 year old, and I've never talked to either of them before, I am much more likely to approach the 40 year old. It is actually physical attraction now, and I know I will probably enjoy their personality more as well.

    • It's not just older women being more confident. I tend to be shy and nervous around girls my age, they're unpredictable and random. Lots of games too. You never know how to act around them. A mature women I can be confident and less shy around. I don't know why but I guess I like some predictablity but not too much that it's boring. I am both physically and emotionally attracted to older women, mostly women in their 30s because that's more realistic for a mid-20 something to be in a relationship with. I've been with a younger girl and a older woman. The relationship with the older woman, I was at ease and could focus on the relationship. The younger girl, I was always stressed out, she lied and cheated on me , and she would get mad over nothing. It was also always about her too, completely neglected me and always acted spoiled. She also made me do all the work of thw relationship. Older women I've talked to, they actually make an effort and I'm much happier.

  • I think it is perfectly ok. Your interest seems genuine. I would let yourself talk to who you like. At your age, it is really not taboo anymore. If you were in your teens still, I'd say not so much. But you have lived a bit and have something to offer. And older woman can be sexy and sexual, speaking as one. They like the attention too and maybe the challenge a young guy presents. But the only thing that I caution is that there may be more baggage, past hurt, complications... You have to be aware of that.

  • I can tell you it is VERY common. I have been hit on MORE by guys in their mid to late 20's than men my own age. I think it is a fad or something. I actually have a number of a 19 year old kid from the Sprint store in Philly in my car. He could be fun. LOL

    • Its not a fad to me. I just honestly find older women attractive and plus I feel more an adult now so I'd rather be around a more "adult" crowd. When I was in my teens...I was like why would someone like someone older? Now I'm in my 20's...I feel completely different about that. People find me pretty mature for my age so that might be part of it.

  • Older women usually want younger men for fun only. As long as you are cool with that then go for it!

    • Well that's the thing...because of the maturity I wouldn't feel like I'm doing something wrong or taking advantage if it was just for fun unlike girls my age who don't know what they want. For dating and something more serious I'd still go for someone preferably late 20's-early 30's. But for fun I'd go even older lol. Thanks for the encouragement!

  • Oh yes, I am 33 and I am more attracted to younger guys than my age or older. A younger does more things to please us, and also they give their best and make us laugh more. I would rather go out with younger definitely. Also, I look around 5 years younger, so it does not look odd when we go out.
