Does tanning change nipple color?

First off, I know how dangerous tanning is. I've never been to an indoor tanning bed but will be going for the next 3 weeks to even out some weird tan lines because I am a bridesmaid at the end of the month. I'm going nude but will it darken or bleach my nipples? Should I put sunscreen on them ?

Put the highest SPF you can find (one that blocks both types of rays and also is water proof) and put that on. You can also put that on the front of your crotch if you don't want to risk burning that (I wouldn't) and a little bit on your nose and cheeks because in my experience those burn the fastest (but if you have enough time before tanning and the wedding it should fade to just a tan).

Yes, it will darken them. It may not do it much since you aren't going a ton, though.

Your nipples will tan along with everything else. They're also very sensitive, and more prone to burning than other parts of your body, I've heard.

I'd say you should probably put some sunscreen on them to protect them a bit, at least at first.

if theyre 'brown' normally then it shouldn't be as much of an issue if you use lotion/oil made for tanning beds. if you have 'pink' nipples be cautious and only go nude for a short time towards the end and work up the amount of time over your 3 weeks

same concept as taking it easy on tanning pale skin vs tanning skin that already has some color

it wil darken them. very big concern in this country and women always wear pasties over them to protect while in a tanning bed.

Brown or pink, they are still nipples.

i am half Caucasian and have the coloring of one so I don't worry about it either. I'm just aware. but just reading your questiom made me think that you might not want them to turn dark.

nipple skin is more sensitive and would be more likely to pigment faster than the rest of you. I would say it depends on how the rest of you reacts to a tanning bed or tanning in general.

Please leave your nipples alone. We love them and are not concerned with the color.
