Have you used the epilation machines to remove your hair before?

Have you ever used the epilator and some machines to remove or epilate your underarm, leg, pubic and around-mouth hair? I've udes it only once but it caused some irritations on my underarm skin. Besides, my underarms are very sensitive, generally small yellow hairs are on my underarm and my pubic vaginal region also has small black hairs. I've tried Philips and Braun epilator machines to remove my underarm and pubic region but some red bumps and allergic discolorations had occured after the epilation. That's why I am wondering has anyone used it before. Should I use machine o remove pubic hair or shouldn't? If the machines are harmful, how can I eliminate the risks of it? I really sometimes need epilator because it removes the hair from bottom. I am confused, what can I do?

  • I'm a guy I use to get waxed professionally many times as far as epilation is concerned I've never had it nor would I go that route it's really bad for your skin! And actually promotes ingrown hairs the method doesn't deter that from happening! A preferred method over epilating would be waxing, however the best method and the one I choose when I was 18 is laser hair removal and I couldn't be happier with the results it's permanent I had 4 treatments done on my front public area, and butt they removed everything in my torso region except the hair on my thighs the only draw back it's expensive but they do have payment plans, and you don't have to have perfect credit! I would highly suggest it over any other method in the long run it pays for itself with razors tweeting waxing epilating with their expense, and each one has drawbacks and are never permanent!

  • I have a Braun Silk-epil wet and dry epilator. I only use the epilator on my underarms and legs, not my bikini line. With the underarms the first few times I did it, it was painful and they bled just a little bit. I still used it though and after a while you get used to it and so does your skin (in my case). Now I can epilate my underarms with no problems, just a few ticks of pain. The good thing about epilating your underarms is that it slows and thins the growth of your underarm hair meaning you don't have to remove it so often. Your pubic area is known to be super sensitive, and a downside to epilators is that they can sometimes cause ingrown hairs and I don't want any ingrown hairs down there. Only continue using an epilator if you feel comfortable with it, and stop using it, if you continue getting red bumps and allergies. Hope this helps.

    • Great expression thanks! :) yes as we totally known vagina is super sensitive region :) I've heard Braun SilkEpil 3 with Gillette Venus technology which provides to refresh the dead skin so lots of my friend advised me to use it... Do you know something about it? Plus, you can use it under the water, Nemely, water doesn't harm to it and it delivers neon colored light. Can you give me some informations about them? I am really wondering that.

    • I am sorry I don't have to one with Gillette venus technology, I have a 'Braun Silk-?pil Xpressive Pro 7681' , and yes its really useful that you can use it in the shower.

  • Epilating isn't harmful though it can cause ingrown hairs and irritation, as you've found out. I've personally never used one, but I have heard they really shouldn't be used on the face.

    • Hmmm thanks for informations :) but some aparatus and heads provide to remove hairs easily. Now my vaginal region is slightly hair but I want to try epilating, because wax is very adhesive... Does epilating hurt my vagina and underarm?

    • It might pull a little but shouldn't be unbearable.

    • hmmm okay :))) how do you remove your vaginal region hairs and underarm hairs? What's the best way to remove in your opinion?
