During ovulation secretion of copulin is the strongest. Copulin is female pheromone who directly affects male behavior. A woman looks more attractive, influence to increased secretion of testosterone in men.
Unfortunately today, only a third of women have copulin. Copulin produces bacteria that live in the vagina.
Birth control pills, excessive use of antibiotics, excessive washing of the vagina with strong soaps impact, that most women did not have copuln.

It's actually more of a turn-on. The pheromones given off by a woman during ovulation are designed to attract men. It's nature's way of encouraging pregnancies to keep the human race going. I like going down on my girlfriend better when she's ovulating so she's wetter and smells a little stronger. Going down on her during her period is a different story. I'm not even slightly into that. Sex is OK though.

Men are biologically MORE attracted to a woman when she's ovulating. Why? Because it subconsciously cues to them that the woman is fertile. Women give off subtle hormonal cues (such as a slightly flushed face, altered voice, stronger scent/pheromones and increased discharge) when their body is going through ovulation.
So basically, you have nothing to worry about : )
When a girl is ovulating, men are programmed to be more attracted to her. There have been studies regarding pheromones, MHC-type, etc signaling to men that there is a fertile woman who needs attending to. So if anything, it turns them on even more ;)
Sure there is normally no difference then. During the period is where you would want to be careful!
