  • When you are responsible and able to survive on your own and financially/emotionally support yourself and your child. There is no good "age". A 20 year old woman could have a husband, great job, and support a baby while a 35 year old could have none of those things and not be able to support a baby. People might think 35 sounds better than 20 for a baby, but people reach stages at different times in their lives.

Sooo I wouldn't put an age on it.

    • That is true. However there comes a certain age (usually over 40) where the risk of health problems becomes serious. My Aunt had a baby at 41 and he's retarded. (Not severely, but bad enough where he stands out). The rest that she had in her 20's and 30's came out fine.

  • I'm 22 and I want one now. I wanna be a young mom, and I don't want my husband to be like 40 when we start having kids lol. The way I see it I'll be able to take better care of them if I'm young and maybe that way getting pregnant will be easier for me and so will the labor. I'm also scared that if I wait to long and have problems getting pregnant that I'll run out of time before it happens.

  • everyone's situation is different so you can't put a number on it. I think to avoid any health problems for the baby nobody should have a baby after 30.

  • what about the best age for men to have a son? this question is sexist.

ok, i think it depends on the girl, even some at older age die at childbirth, so make sure you are healthy. oh crap, amn i scaring you? sorry. well i believe 23-31 is best. but at the same time...
marrying someone does not make you a babymaker, marriage is God's creation to enjoy the closest relationship with your husband. dont have to rush things if you are not ready.

    • A man can father a son from the day he reaches puberty until the day he dies. Its not sexist. The fact is the older a woman gets the riskier a pregnancy can get.

    • haha that was a joke silly.

  • Between 20-35. According to the sex educators iv spoken with they said that its best for a woman to wait at least until she is 20 since your reproductive organs are fully developed by that point.

However after 35 it technically becomes a high risk pregnancy.
That's what my doctor told my wife.

    • Thanks for MH

  • 25-30 for women and around 30-35 for men. After 30, for the women, the chances of the child having birth defects begin to increase.

  • I've heard 25 is the best and healthiest age for a women to have a baby

  • Early 20s she's fertile and young

  • When you're done with school and have a good payed job so you can take care of your baby without problems. Let's say in your twentys?

  • Before she is in her 30's usually. but really it depends on the woman.

  • Whenever a woman is ready to have a child. It is her choice. I had my first child when I was 24. I had my son a little early because my husband is 7 years older than me making him 31 at the time. :)

But it was the best choice I made.

  • 28-35..if you have them earlier youve wasted your youth...

    • thats for both men and women
