You're bored as hell, as you plop on the couch. You take out your phone, going onto Instagram. You check your notifications and see a orange notification. You excitedly click on it, and see one comment. A comment which insulted you throughout Instagram, judging your feed.
You sighed, as you go back onto your profile. 37 followers, and 213 people following. You refresh to see if anyone else followed you.
Wait... is that... One unfollow?
Tears fill your eyes, as you sob on the couch.
You go onto your friend's profile, and see triple the followers than the people he's following. How is this possible? How is this fair?

I will try to make this article as short as possible and if you have someone rude or unessasary, please hesitate.
1. Have a great username
Thankfully, Instagram allows users to change their names. (I would've died) so it's not too late!
Use the following guides to a perfect username:
- Avoid numbers, symbols, and/or punctuation
- You can use your name (at least first name)
- If you want to include your last name, just use the first letter (if your last name is too long)
- Use a nickname you've been called
- Add some of your hobbies, or interests (e.g., artsypatsy, lol)
- Use 'King' or 'Queen' (e.g., QueenAngel, KingAlex778)
Or just look at other usernames to get inspiration.
2. Post creative and interesting pictures
Nobody cares about the food you're eating! Just post some proper pictures. Ideas are:
- The sunset (although everyone's feed at least contains a sunset)
- Photos of nature, or beautiful animals
- Selfies, cute ones
- Outift of the day (date outfit, casual, etc.)
- A vine of you doing something hilarious
- Video mashes
- Quotes
3. Use hashtags, and tag people
Use relatable hashtags, not ones that don't even make sense. Like you posted a pic of your dog, do not use the hashtag 'yum or food' even though it's pretty popular. Who would eat a dog? That's nasty! Maybe 'love' and 'cute are the ones you're looking for.
Use popular hashtags such as:
- Cute
- Love
- Instagood
- Me
- Tbt
- Follow, followme, tagforlikes
- Photooftheday
- Happy
- Beautiful
Use simple hashtags, they are sure to get you instant famous. Don't use ones like, 'lindordeliciouschocolate' but instead, 'chocolate' or 'sweets' or 'sweet tooth'
4. Do not spam people with sfs or f4f
It's just plain annoying and irritating, making people avoid you. You seem more desperate trying too hard. Just comment on famous celeb pics using a tinge of sarcasm.
For example someone comments on Kylie Jenners pic, saying, 'Nice outfit, but what are thoooosseeee?' Just an example 🌚.
5. Famous Apps
This is the cheating one, and this is effective, but once people check out what you post, they might slowly start to unfollow you.
But this is one dirty trick I found out.
There are insta famous apps out there in the App Store. How do you think the musical.y famous 203k people are that famous? Because they use that app daily.
Just go on the App Store and you will find several apps for being famous.
