Get Off Your Phone: STOP Filming

Ever been to a concert or a club or any events and have people waving their phone around like a fool? Yeah, I believe we all have at least experienced that and we all know who those people are. The ones who just go to these events for the mere sake of telling people that they were there.

I'm sure all you people that does this, knows that everyone dislike it, yet you choose to ignore it and continue doing it anyways. You continue to block people's views with your videotaping and uploading it on Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook etc.

Of course, there may be certain instances when I'd appreciate it. But let's be honest eh, the only reason I'm fine with it and appreciate it is because I'm not the person stuck standing behind you while you wave your phone like a fool.

I feel like these people (that does this) simply go to clubs, concerts or any events just for the sake of "announcing" to people that they went. It's fine if you take a few pictures and proceed to keep the phone back, but if you wave your phone throughout the entire concert (or event), that can really get on the nerves of people that are standing behind you.

Why go to an event just so that you have something to post on your social media accounts? Do those "likes" really matter to you? Or it makes you feel validated?

Honestly though, is it really that impossible to actually enjoy the moment without feeling the need to videotape it?

When I'm at a concert, I can't even understand nor am I even sure why do people videotape what is happening because you can't even make out who is it in the picture or what is actually going on (unless you edit the brightness of course). Do you really feel the need to show off to your friends about what they're missing out on? I honestly think that the only person missing out here is YOU. Do you even realize that? I mean you are at a concert (or club, or anything)!

Put your phone away and live a little please. Why spend your precious and valuable time with your eyes locked on your phone when you can actually have fun?

I'm sorry if I offended you (in case you're the kind of person I mentioned) and yes, I realized this is more of a rant than a myTake. But sometimes it's so annoying to be stuck at concert behind someone that waves his/her phone around the whole time and unable to move to anywhere else.
