Of these the only show i've seen is Dexter.
And honestly, Dexter Morgan had me really confused, cause he's a serial killer and yet i was very attracted to him.
But in terms of the whole alpha thing, it's a little confusing cause while i guess he was an alpha in terms of owning all those serial killers, his public persona was to me a bit more beta.

1) Under difficult conditions, Tyrion holds the city together, strengthens and organizes the city's defenses, and makes an alliance with House Martell. He plays a vital role in the Crown's victory over Stannis Baratheon's forces during the Battle of Blackwater, and is wounded. Many many fully grown men would have failed to do the same. He as a dwarf accomplished that even when nobody believed he could.

2) Unwillingly married to Sansa Stark. Even though he has all the right and opportunity to mistreat sansa and have sex with her... he avoids it and treats her like a lady.

More of a man than most people in either of those cases.

This is a fair point: I was in two minds about putting up the pretty boy Jaime but he was capable of ruthlessly destroying his foes. Eg when his love for cersei was threatened by a spy from the Stark household. He did his lover true justice.
