Now with that out of the way let's look at our latest question.
What makes Anita Sarkeesian a bad person and non-credible journalist?
Lets take on the first part, her being a bad person. For those of you who don't know who Anita Sarkeesian is and are too lazy to use Google I'll run you through a crash course on what she does in a second. So we will do our crash course then we will get on with it!
Without further ado, we are off!
Who is Anita Sarkeesian?
Anita Sarkeesian is a modern third wave feminist who is most known for saying that video games are sexist. She's also famous for bringing third wave feminism into the international public light. She's also well known for making very broad, idiotic, sexist, or simply rude statements. One of such statements is "Everything is sexist, everything is misogynistic, everything is racist, everything is homophobic and you have to point it all out" and another is "All white people are racist, all men are misogynistic, and all cys-gendered people are transphobic."
Needless to say these statement are basically saying "Everybody but the minorities are horrible awful people and should be flayed and burned at the stake" to me it's all very reminiscent of the "Salem Witch Hunt" don't you agree?
She's also a known liar and drama addict as well as a notorious scammer and hypocrite. I don't like calling people liars but to produce YouTube videos that are barely researched and have very poor production quality and you get almost a half million dollars US? I'm sorry but I sincerely doubt it costs you that much when there is people out there who quadruple her output and quality and don't require any money from viewers what so ever. Also it's been over 4 years since she got that money and she hasn't even delivered the promised videos. She claims she runs a charity but charges $20K US to speak at gatherings and schools. I'm sorry but I would sue the public schooling system if they got a feminist to speak with my children without my consent.
So I guess I just hit two birds with on stone. That's both who she is and why she's a bad person. Now let's delve into why she's bad at what she does. Shall we?
What makes Anita Sarkeesian a bad journalist?
Now I know what everyone is going to say, "She isn't a journalist she's a pop culture critic!" Those of you that say that please get out of here and don't come back.
Now that those people are gone. -clears throat-
What makes her bad at what she does? Her lack of honesty mostly. She seems to be a pathological or chronic liar. That and she's such an attention seeker it's almost scary. Though I agree some popular media things are definitely sexist Grand Theft Auto isn't sexist because you can kill women. You can kill everybody. I don't know about you but that sounds like murder equality to me. If anything GTA is intentional stereotypical to push boundaries and be crass. It's all satire. Regardless, her points are not very well researched and she seems to be a very stupid person. Her IQ is definitely low and that's not an insult.
Anyways so my opinion on all this crap in a nutshell is every last one of you who read this and got irritated are all f*cking stupid and you should feel horrible about your life choices and you shouldn't have spent your time in the Internet and should've went outside instead. What I'm saying here is what the hell are you doing?! Who cares if a f*cking video game is sexist? It's not up to the game developers to regulate who plays their games. If your 8 year old kid is murdering hookers in Grand Theft Auto that's because you are a stupid parent who shouldn't have your child. It is rated 17+ for a reason you idiot.
If you agree that these things need to change or think I'm sexist you're simply a close minded follower who needs to be a part of a flock. My girlfriend is in the kitchen because she chooses to be in there. My friend May is a stripper because she chooses to be. Nobody is forcing either of them to do anything. What your child plays is up to the parent. Not the developer and not the publisher. Making all of Anita's points null and void. Seriously guys. Calm down will you? It's not a dick. Don't take it so hard.
