1) WOMEN MAKE LESS THAN MEN BECAUSE THEY ARE ANTI-WOMEN - I agree, men make more than women (76:1); however, there is a clear reason for this and has nothing do with men in today's generation trying to be "anti-women". Women in the U.S. started working in the 1970's (when the "gender difference culture" was much more different than today's society), and the progression of women workers slowly started to increase. As a result, women tended to get lower paying jobs and this "culture" continued till modern day (https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/women-paid-less-men_us_56f16a22e4b03a640a6bbdc6). I mean how many women do you see in the engineering fields? (Engineers have the highest income for a four year degree!). Of course, that doesn't mean that women "CHOOSE" to go for lower paying jobs, rather, it's definitely due to social pressures that push women to make those choices (teacher, nurse, etc.). However, at the end of the day, women decided to choose a lower paying job. It is what it is.

2) MEN DON'T WANT TO MAKE ABORTION LEGAL BECAUSE THEY ARE ANTI WOMEN! - Disclaimer! I am FOR abortion within the first 16 weeks; however, the reason why there is legitimate debates on whether abortion should be legal or not has nothing to do with being anti-women. One of the main reason why people don't want to make abortion legal is because either they have religious morality influencing their decisions or their own experiences seeing aborted babies (the size of pennies) influencing their decisions. I doubt there are actual men out there saying I don't want women to abort because I don't like them. Relax feminists, it's not that simple.

3) WOMEN SHOULD GET MORE PAID PARENTAL LEAVE - I agree! Paying women to take care of a child that will hopefully be a great doctor, businesswoman/man (I put the woman first just for you ;)), or a future president is important! But how come men don't see this paid parental leave as much as women? Are they not important in the parental role of a child? I think there should be an extension. A 60/40 or 50/50 split between the parental leave distribution amongst men and women and of-course the majority of the time should go to the women (in my opinion 8-10 months) but men should also receive such benefits.

4) WOMENS SPORTS SHOULD BE AS POPULAR AS MENS SPORT - I'm sorry. This might offend you. I'm a 3 year varsity athlete. I play multiple sports. I know... that... women... are just not as good at sports as men. Sorry. It's the truth. Women can't dunk a basketball, or smash into another football player. There is no superhuman woman athlete. When we think about the greatest men sports player, we think of superhuman athletes like LeBron James (250 POUND 46 INCH VERTICAL), or Stephen Curry (CAN SHOOT LITERALLY HALFCOURT SHOTS WHENEVER HE WANTS, or Mike Tysons ( DO I REALLY NEED TO EXPLAIN). Men are more entertaining to watch! Simply put and the sad truth indeed. But when women can compete with men (Serena Williams), you can see that reflection in their net-worth (25 million dollars).

5) WOMEN GET HARRASSED BY MEN ON THE STREETS - I agree with this one with the feminists. I don't think anyone disagrees. We need to have greater punishments on men who rape women; however, we should also have even bigger punishments on women who fake a rape allegation to get money in court from a man (Derick Rose almost couldn't play basketball because of a fake rape allegation). This is a complicated issue in terms of dealing with the law; but yes, I agree with this issue definitely and is an issue that is being taken seriously by almost everyone.

6) THERE SHOULD BE MORE WOMEN BILLIONAIRES - Really? Literally, all the billionaires (Mark, Bill, Steve, Elon, or Warren) started with a business idea in their basement. Absolutely nothing is stopping you from being one. Get an idea, create the product, market, and sell. Easy.

Overall, Feminism has been SUCH A HUGE issue but I see no hype in it. What else do you want? You literally have everything to be a successful, strong, and independent women in the U.S. Asian-American women make 0.95 cents to every dollar a man makes. Why? Because their parents fucking force them to take on majors that make a lot of money and work hard in school. That's why. How do I know, because I went to a school with like 95% Asians in it! Trust me, feminism is overrated. Debate me if you want, but literally in the past year no women has been able to change my mind.

Okay, so your entire take indicates that you do not understand inequality, feminism, gender roles, nor the change of gender roles between the early 20th century into the 21st century. I am a senior sociology major, and I hate to tell you this, but the intro to sociology classes you can take as early as high school up through college will provide you with all the facts you need to disprove most of your arguments, along with giving you the proper documentation of facts. You are correct in assuming that social pressures affect a woman's choice of work, the same can be said of men, resulting in pink-collar job discrimination ( when a man works in a female dominated field AKA nursing) however you are incorrect in assuming that they choose the lower paying job at the end of the day. The pay gap is present in nearly every job market, hence the glass ceiling. Women do not have the same opportunity for equal pay as a man working in the same market. The argument you make for women's sport popularity is just inconsiderate. There is no base argument being made for the popularity, instead one is being made for equal support, and if you would like an example of why women want equal pay in sports, look at the US women's soccer team. On the aspect of rape vs fake allegations, women tend not to come out due to fear of repercussions, and in cases where allegations are proven to be fake, most can be sued for defamation successfully. As for woman billionaires, I have no idea where you got the idea that feminism says that as an ideology, it isn't. Most of your Mytake is ill informed and full of stereotypes. You clearly do not understand the concept of feminism, as there are multiple waves, aspects and viewpoints you do not seem to be aware of. Going to medical school and playing for a league is no excuse for being willfully misinformed, nor should it be accepted as one, especially if you are in medical school, since most medical fields are still dominated mainly by men. You need to recognize that as a man you have more privilege than a woman in every way possible. It is not up for debate, it is a fact, and whether or not you know it, you in some way or another benefit from it. Such is the issue of gender inequality. I hope this helps convince you to take a few sociology classes as they will definitely help you if you are headed into the field of medicine. I took a sociology course required for pre-medical requisite and legit everything was opinionated -I don't remember learning anything. Maybe I didn't take the class serious enough because getting an A was super easy. Plus, my schedule is kind of busy right now, don't think I can fit in sociology; however, this is what I will say. Regarding equal pay, i'm not necessarily saying that men and women have equal pay; but, it's not as bad as they make it seem. Every generation, a new set of young girls (25-34) close the pay gap: for example, in 1980, younger women had a.68:1 ratio to men, in the 2000s it was .87:1, and now in the 2012's it's.93:1. This data is from Pew Research. There data finds the reason for this is that women are 1) going to higher paying jobs and 2) they are more highly educated and more active in the workforce 3) men's earnings have fallen 4) more laws have been set for women to not be discriminated against;

Yes, I don't think HUFF Post is always the greatest source; however, you cannot deny the facts that women work in lower paying jobs. I mean the engineering field consists of 80% of men! 32% of physicians (200k average salary) are women (2010). These are facts. Why are Asian women almost at the same level salary as men? 0.90-0.95 cents to every dollar a man makes. Because they are pushed to work as doctors and engineers by parental pressure. It's still a pretty good argument if you ask me!

essentially in a way, yes, you're saying women work in lower paying jobs (they pick jobs that are in less demand and there are many people working in that sector) whereas men will most likely pick a job like engineering, which is true. But there is a problem with this in my country, in an engineering course my friend was told "If you're a woman in this course you WILL be paid more for a job in this sector" that is the true pay gap, a man and a woman in equal positions should not be paid more than the other and they are not, the pay gap takes up the average earnings of men and women working full time (35 hours a week is full time) and it does not take into account differences in occupation (which is a huge factor), positions, education, job tenure or hours worked in a week (Men are more likely to work longer)
