I'm a man. I'm a heterosexual man. I'm a heterosexual black man. I'm a heterosexual black man who's also a feminist. I'm a heterosexual feminist agnostic black man. I'm a heterosexual feminist agnostic absurdist black man. I could make that list bigger but it'd only serve to irritate you. None of that really matters though because what connects me to you is my humanity. I like most people would rather not die today. And I like most people don't like seeing people starve or get murdered. Sure there are those of us that may feel inclined to violence and suicide but these are usually syptoms of outstanding pains. Pains that often occure because we're human. Each generation we bring in new minds teach them the old ways and ask them to build upon it. And each generation they do often leaving the old stuck in an outdated world view. The entire world doesn't move at the same pace but collectively we're going in whatever direction we're going in. We don't want to suffer. No baby is born smiling at the subjugation of its fellow humans. When a child bites we don't punch it in the face we teach it calmly and kindly. When exactly did we collectively decide that after a certain age people should be taught using force and anger? Who truly listens when they feel that they're being attacked. This is my only problem with most social movements of today. We continuously cry for change by repeateding the painful choices of the past. If the current state of the world is your enemy than it will behave as such. Maybe simply believing that the world would like to help and focusing in on finding support with and within those that are willing may move things forward more smoothly than beating them with the mistakes of their parents culture.
Its not about "having a vagina" per se, its more like... If you're a woman and you have children?
Women work more part time hours to be a parent, and are discriminated against because they care about their kids more than their jobs. Part time workers get paid less per hour than full time workers. The problem with that is that having kids boosts the economy and producing well-adjusted adults produces skilled workers for the future, so why is caring for your children treated like a luxury?
On top of that, "feminine" jobs are devalued, and if a job becomes associated with femininity over time, it loses it's value. Which is bullshit, because most feminine jobs are caring professions, working with children, the sick, or the elderly. What's more important than that?
Sure, if you grind in a traditionally masculine job, and don't spend time with your children, or don't have any, you'll probably be fine. Women usually don't do that. And before you say"just dont have kids", married men with children make MORE.
Maybe if child rearing and house keeping was more evenly split between both parents, or was properly compensated because it benefits society as a whole, the wage gap would close reasonably.
Okay, but part time workers get paid less per hour than full time workers. You shouldn't get paid less because you're not an employers on-call bitch.
Everyone benefits from properly raised children, because they grow into adults and pay taxes. So no, I call bullshit on you trying to paint parenthood as some frivolous hobby that takes no effort and benefits no one but the participant.
Feminism used to be about equality. It used to hold to an ideal that all men are created equal and women being a part of mankind share in that equality. That is no longer it's purpose, Though their or plenty of feminists who still believe in the original mission of the movement that said they could own land, they could hold positions of authority, they could be educated, they work as men do, the unfortunate reality is that the most vocal groups of feminists are not fighting for equality anymore. They openly create conflict with Egalitarians who are fighting for the same thing they are, saying it is not enough, branding themselves as victims when they aren't. If feminists actually still fought for equality, they wouldn't spend so much time demeaning men and women who confront them on their folly. But it isn't about equality. It is about stepping over men to give women the place men once had, and eliminating the rights of men so men can understand what women have been through. You have to let go of the struggles of the past and move forward. That is the only way to ever be equal.
Feminism is no longer feminism. Why? 1) Feminists say one thing and do another. We're always told that "feminists believe in equality". Well then, I don't see them addressing male issues at all. How is that equality? 2) Ask a feminist to debate feminism and you will be told to go fuck yourself. 3) Feminists deny that women objectify men too. Feminists will turn cartwheels trying to explain why it’s wrong for grown men to admire the fit, tight bodies of young women, but perfectly okay for grown women to desire younger women sexually. 4) You are a victim-blaming rape apologist and feminists will let you know. Everything from the ‘teach men not to rape” campaigns to “don’t be that guy” to “listen and believe” assumes that women are not and cannot be responsible for their own actions, must not be asked to offer evidence for their claims and ultimately, men are responsible for the safety of women. I'm all for women's rights but don't use the word "equality" if you don't know what it means. Last but not the least, don't become "The Melancholic Sufferer". The Melancholic Sufferer- While initially you may feel sorry for them, such people play the victim card so often that eventually, you begin to wonder whether they are bringing it all on themselves or simply making things seem necessarily bleak. Victims are unable to take responsibility for anything that goes wrong in their lives. Note that this doesn't apply to all feminists. It only applies to third wave feminists.
The last statement is literally "please don't let someone educated on the matter who won't say "fuck yourself" debate me" Smart, but really? 1. I'm sorry but women are trying to dismantle gender stereotypes overall. Look out how good Sweden is doing s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/.../...82563a0337.jpg (sorry Sweden is awesome) and in a survey of feminists/ non-feminists about a boy being raped, the feminists showed TRIPLE the support for the victim
3. I'm really sorry but I don't have much input there. However in our mainly heterosexual targeted country, women are far more sexualized
4. Actually women are trying to make men accountable instead of the stereotype that they are hypnotized because that girls skirt was just too short. They are trying to teach men to be accountable instead of "I just couldn't control my desires since she was showing her shoulder
BY THE WAY that melancholic sufferer point is excellent and I'm so happy you mentioned that, have a good night
@bat0209 4) Rape isn't the woman's fault. I'm not saying it is. But it's up to them to take precautions against rape. If they feel they'll be targeted for wearing short skirts etc, why wear them? We are not responsible for your safety, you are. And what about "teach men not to rape"? Seriously? That's so bitter.
And by the way, third wave feminists addressing men's issues does not happen often. Cherry picking the incidents or places when/where it happened is not representative of all feminists.
I have heard that, and that really is terrible. But overall feminism does try to, and the third-wave feminists are kind of the noose on feminism.
And teaching men not to rape is kind of stupid I agree. But so is telling a girl that the skirt she's wearing is too short so it's her fault the rape happened. It should be teaching people to be decent human beings.
@bat0209 Rape is the rapist's fault, not the victim's. But the victim's safety is her responsibility. For example- if a thief breaks into your house and steals something, it's his fault. Locking the door properly so that nobody breaks into your house is your responsibility. I completely support the old version of feminism. It's the modern crap that is very offensive to men.
I have no objection if it isn't about men. Just don't use the word "equality" because inequality doesn't just affect women. Feminists are also notorious for playing the victim and bashing men.
I never said it only affected women. Its the simple fact that this is a post about feminism. If you wanted to see mens problems why would you click on a feminist post?
I don't want to see men's problems. We don't go around with a victim cloud over our heads. It's some things like pro-abortion and lack of responsibility that is highly offensive to us.
Not all feminists are pro abortion. My friend are not. And i would never have one ever but thats me. If you have a problem with it, speak out against it then, instead of crying in the shadows
And those aren't the only problems. Y'all have the privilege of receiving fewer days in jail for the same crime. I don't see feminists mentioning all that.
Well, women are involved in this scenario right? This is exactly the problem. Feminists only fight for the rights which they don't have. They don't care about the advantages that they have over men because who doesn't like having privileges? Same with divorce and custody. Feminists want to have it both ways. They fight for the rights which they don't have and retain their privileges. How is that equality? That goes against the whole idea of equality. After that, they bash MRA's and other men's rights activists.
The problem with feminism is that it isn't simply about liberty, it's about bringing in more legislation to put the government's gun to people's heads for more pointless freedom.
You have the right to equity, not equality. Feminists don't want equal opportunity, they want equal results. That's the problem. The free market will decide how much women are worth and what each woman's place is, be that a CEO or a housewife.
Feminism is a societal cancer. It brings nothing but instability. It is a surefire way to cultural suicide.
A friend of mine is a 40 year old woman who moved here from India. She told me about how she had an arranged marriage, moved to America with her husband, and then he met someone else and they divorced. She says she misses her family back in India, but she feels she can't return because divorce is so taboo there and they would say it's her fault no matter what. Also if she returned, she'd be expected to remarry and she doesn't want to. She says she likes her independence.
It's really interesting to talk to her and see how things are different over there. Anyway though, yes, proud feminist here as well! Girls deserve the same opportunities and respect as men.
*Insert racist remark about Indians here to make yourself feel superior and holier than though*
I am tired of being told by racist white women that "all Indian men are bad mmkay* There is one thing to point out a issue but to generalise and blame an entire race is both racist and anti-productive.
FYI My parents remained married for 25 years until my father passed away.
Why don't you talk about how russia a WHITE country legalised domestic violence? Why don't you talk about russia a WHITE country where people are beaten and killed for being gay? Should I start yapping about "culture" and blaming all white people?
@followthebuzzards I said nothing about Indians as a race. I talked about my friend from another country and the culture that she came from (also said nothing negative about her ex husband, who she is still on good terms with).
@followthebuzzards Well, women in India do have less rights than Western women do. That doesn't make it your fault; it's just fact. No need to get so defensive.
@followthebuzzards dude. There are other women. Its their loss if they are prjudiced. Generalization sucks. Men also has problems at how they are being perceived in society😭. But tougher for women in india comparitively.
Does true feminism except all views of a woman, even if they are contrary of their own? Can a woman who embraces either pro-choice or pro-life be accepted as a feminist?
Can a feminist support candidates that except contributions by supporters that embraces Sharia Law, which allows women to be abused.
Can a feminist be liberal, moderate or conservative and be in unity or does the feminist movement embrace a specific platform and any woman that doesn't embrace that specific platform, isn't a feminist?
I grew up with a hard working single mom, who instilled me to have balanced and fair minded views. I considered her a feminist and she was conservative.
I'm surprised feminists have been relatively quiet about the atrocities of Sharia Law, for fear of being racists. Sharia Law has nothing to do with race but abuse to women being practiced in the Middle East. (slowly coming to the west)
Sorry but I politely disagree, you see feminism that exists today is no longer the same feminism from the 20th century. The feminism today is notoriously known as third wave feminism. It's known for promoting misandry and division amongst the people. If you remember correctly, between 2000-2009, men and women would get along just fine but every since third wave feminism started trending in 2010, men and women have getting divided.
This is why groups like the MRA and MGTOW are rising. There was a poll not that long ago that proved most people don't consider themselves feminists. Now that this decade is nearing the end, feminism is slowly starting to decline. Most men and women are starting to realize that modern feminism is not right.
What people need is Egalitarianism and no Feminism is not Egalitarianism otherwise it wouldn't call itself feminism and it wouldn't be neglecting men.
Feminism isn't about the neglection of men. People are so scared of being left out of things that they get so offended. Gay rights: gay people Any racial protest: focuses on ethnic people Child rights: children Student rights: students. SO tell me why this ONE protest csn focus on women without men and women sh*tting themselves? EVERY PROTEST HAS A FOCUS SO WHY CAN'T IS BE ONE. id like to know
Then why did the feminists protest against a men's rights convention? Why did feminists protest against a international men's rights day at a University in New York. If women can have their own group, then why can't men have their own group? Favoritism is something that third wave feminism practices. Just look at all those feminist public figures, look at their misandrist tweets. Not that long ago, a feminist even proposed to put men in "special camps" she even wanted to ban heterosexual relationships.
I believe in mens rights and womens rights. But i won't merge them and fight for them together. The issues are so diverse it would be separated anyways
And this is why labels and names suck. Two people who probably want the same thing arguing until they are blue in the face, hating each other, while oppressive forces keep doing their thing. The only way there should be debating, arguing, etc, about feminism etc, would involve arguments about why different people do or do not deserve rights, and I think those who believe everyone deserves rights would win. Anything else is just unhealthy bickering. Do you believe everyone deserves rights or not? If yes, then quit bashing each other.
because women don't really have mens backs and deep down men know it. it depends on who you are if women respect you or not and what you have as a man wether they treat you as a human being. Meanwhile men has made it apart of are code to respect a women regardless of who they are and we judge those men who do not. women judge men and don't care how they treat them long as they don't get caught.
No it's corrupted now and toxic. We need an egalitarian movement. Feminism isn't for true equality. It's under the guise of true equality but really it's under the assumption that women are being oppressed let's take men down.
In reality there's a lot of times things are equal in opportunity but women are trying to push equality of outcome. They aren't the same thing.
Feminism actively hurts men, and I'm not talking about making things even. I'm talking about abusing men under the guise of equality.
Is everyone here dumb? Protest are specific. Gay rights. Immigrant rights. Student rights. Child rights. Black rights. But apparently this one protest for women is harmful. If you want to speak for mens rights, do it! Id support it but how the f*ck am i supposed to speak for men when i have no idea what its like to be a guy? So OBVIOUSLY, i have to speak for myself and people like me. Duh. Thats the point in specific protest. Broad topics dont do sh*t. I don't agree with the way feminist are running things in America but does that mean im saying "f womens rights"? No. I can still have same beliefs and disagree with what they do and focus on.
Yeah but they're pushing an agenda not just individual issues. If you're asking if you agree with women's rights there's a difference with agreeing with the agenda and the sentiment. The agenda has been largely toxic so no I don't agree with it. Do I agree if there is a specific and there's actual injustice yes but that doesn't mean I support the women's rights movement aka feminism. We don't need a movement that frequently says we're being treated unequally then uses misinformation to manipulate the people thinking that it's something different than it is.
Feminism often is a blow to men's rights it's a problem.
I agree. And i also disagree. I haven't seen how wanting women to have rights is a toxic thing. Me being a feminist means that i want things that are unfair to become equivalent. Especially for 3rd world women who can't even live rightfully. I would be an advocate for men if i could but i have no idea what its like to be a man.
the wage gap, rape statistics (rape culture) , Campaigning against Manspreading, People campaigning against a men's issues awareness day/father's day, also alimony and men not having having any part of the decision in making a baby / child support, women wanting cheap health care for women's issues (birth control, abortions). There's more, but those are the things that come to mind.
There's also overwhelming sentiment from some feminists that since men aren't oppressed they don't have issues and we should ignore them. They believe my issue is bigger so therefore your issue doesn't matter.
The wage gap is real but that doesn't mean that men are being paid less for equal work. Men and women are fundamentally different in working habits. Men generally have higher paying professions not only that it's effected by hours worked (men work more hours consistently), vacation time ( men take less), hazard pay (men work more dangerous jobs), Raises (men have the tendency to ask for more raises, and the fact that women take off time to become mothers and come back to the work place (I mean more than paternity leave). When you adjust for these factors the difference drops to very close to equal.
The thing that people say women make.75 s for every $1 a man makes is bs. Look at the academics behind it.
Um, if it isn't for equality it isn't feminism. I understand your point. But you need to understand that feminism literally means equality to men socially, economically and politically.
It's called willing to work long hours away from the home and taking jobs that require travel to remote but higher paying areas. Also types of degrees earned, why do you think STEM is such a big issue right now? Look it up.
I agree for the most part, except I don't think the wage gap is real (or at least not for the reasons some feminists think). The reason why it annoys me when women say we don't need feminism anymore, is because it's so tunnel-visioned. Women's rights were hard-fought not that long ago, and in MANY countries around the world, women still don't have equal rights. However, this is also something that annoys me about (some) feminists. They'll focus on issues like "manspreading" when women in other countries are being stoned for being raped. The world (including Western countries) still needs feminism, but I feel like a lot of the focus is misplaced.
I know i saw the video of buzzfeed on it and i watched it for 2 seconds and i was already annoyed. You want the focus to be on more important things? Then stop talking about what other people waste time talking about. Which is why i didn't talk about it
Girl, we don't. At least not in first world countries. Maybe not even 3rd world countries. In Mexico for example, is considered a 3rd word country. In most areas people live like in a 1st world country but in the south and lower class people don't and women ARE opressed. But not by law but for their surroundings. Same with Russia, there are areas where it is acceptable for men to hit their wives. But it is all in the society, women don't lack any rights men have. Women in those areas, and those in the Middle East under sharia law MIGHT need feminism. But feminism has become a movement for useless and false "oppressions". So I think if anything they NEED egalitarianism. Or I don't know. ANYTHING but 3rd wave feminism. You ladies in the USA need to check YOUR privilege.
I grew up studying in a third world country, Egypt to be exact and I never heard of a girl being grabbed by her fanny in a high school, if a guy does as little as slap back a girl that slapped him he'll get expelled. If one of my friends did grab a girl by her fanny and try to boast about it we'll probably "deal" with him and the girls family will most likely try to kill him. Of course there are many things women lack in Egypt but I've never heard of girls raped in schools, the most common type of rape is male students raping another male student which isn't uncommon at all, is this issue brought up? hardly, what happens to a guy that's been raped? far worse than what would happen to a girl that's been raped. It's not that uncommon in public schools, not only in Egypt but a lot of third world countries.
So everything i said about how women are treated in other countries is completely ok right? Bc 12 year olds forced into marriage and sex and not having a life is ok right? Hell no
@XOXOME16 It's true that some of these things happen, obviously something needs to be done but on the bright side it's becoming less and less common, I'm all for equality but I'd rather take some action and not complain about it nonstop, complaining only does so little.
ummm sweetie, I that is why I said some may need. That is not happening in America. And if so, then go to the police lol. That happens in Middle East and those girls can't run to a police cause it is not against the law. those do need feminism. Well I'd prefer to say egalitarianism but you know what I mean
They're not as common in the Middle East as some people portray it to be. Many of those countries don't have many specific laws against women, I never said they don't need feminism as I said earlier I'm all for equality.
@TheUglyMonk nah its ok. I agree with your comment though. Feminists don't bat an eye with struggles men have. the main reason I started hating this movement was because they ignore Real issues and they make up ways they are oppressed. horrible. And yes I've read about cases where boys are raped by other males. Sad.
@Anastasiya00 Those are good points but, the reason I dislike feminists is because I hate people who shout and complain about things yet never put in proper effort to make a change. We're all humans instead of complaining about what used to happen in the past, we should be focused on making the present better and the future a safer environment for our kids.
@XOXOME16 " I'm all for equality but I'd rather take some action and not complain about it nonstop, complaining only does so little. " I might be dumb but I'm sure I was clear.
@XOXOME16 English isn't my first language but I'm pretty sure that discussing doesn't mean getting angry, insulting people who disagree with you, complain about the issue to every human you see.
It's stupid how some people think feminism is just about hate.
That's not feminism. That's simply some misguided women that don't know what feminism is about.
But the problem is many people listen to them and think feminism is a horrible thing, when in fact feminism is about just striving for having the same rights as men. All Men are created equal and shit... where have I heard this before? lol :)
So no, it is not about disrespecting men. It is about respecting ourselves enough to want to stand beside them :) and cooperate with them towards a better and more humane society for everyone.
lol
I am a feminist and I RESPECT THE SHIT OUT OF MEN! :D (and women) lol
"In many many parts of the world, Women can't even own sh*t or wear what they want. In order to have a house as a woman, you have to marry a man with money, honey. They tell you what to wear, when to speak, what to say, what to do, how to live and you have to do it, BY LAW" - Can you specify where this is true? Where did you get this from?
There are such problems in third-world countries, I live in one, I sympathize, as for women uniting all over the world, that is a very big lie, all of you women in first-world countries don't really care about women in third-world countries, you just rant to force your government into allowing you privileges, once you are satiated, it will take you less than a month to abandon everyone here, but you will think of me as a misogynist, lash out the anger from all your boyfriend problems on me and like almost all first-world women, you will never understand how life here is for men or women.
First of all, dont tell me what i care about and what i dont. My main focus on being a feminist is to help 3rd world women as much as i can. 2nd of all, who the hell are you to call me out on how i am compared to other feminist? Dont try to tell me who i am
I would like to apologize about my opinion on your post about feminism, I was feeling insecure, and in a rush of anger I wrote it, and I wrote other posts, I have been thinking since then, and my attitude is something I am working on, I don't really believe what I wrote, I am a feminist, and I have written two myTakes about it expressing my respect and admiration of women, and they are not anonymous.
If you would like to talk about feminism, I will always respond, with respect, again I am really sorry about my behavior
At the end of the day, we all gon die anyways so shut up. I have my own land and I can do what I want regardless I e. g. anyone says. If they don't like it, they can get the fuck off my property. So I couldn't care less about this take. And plus, y'all already have the right to vote. isn't that enough? Like, what else do y'all need?
You're incredibly dumb. But im sure you know that already. You're the type of woman that only cares about her and her stuff. You're the uneducated type that thinks the world is fine when its not. Feminism isn't just about America. It barely should be. There are women that dont even have a right to their own life so before you start talking dumb, stfu.
I'm not the dumb one. Look in the mirror and you'll find out who is. And why would I spend time looking at the things all the other women go through when none of them even know I exist? So yes. I do care about myself and my property. I care about my family and my friends. And that's it. I'm not uneducated. I'm actually very smart. There are pros and cons to both genders. They will both be fine because at the end of the day we're all going to die.
I'm not sure where I stand on this... like there are so many good points made that are relevant to me as a woman but I just find a lot of it distasteful. If we're gonna go with terms or labels then I prefer identifying as an egalitarian.
@KenM9215 Egalitarian. I can be a feminist and want rights for men, which i am, without changing the label just so people are less offended. I just think men and women have different problems. Women have problems, like i talked about. Men have to do more with the 1st world justice system and etc.
Thank you and i support most of what you said but, your rant lacked a actual first world example of why we need it and the only reason people dont care about Feminism anymore is because of "feme-nazis" that use the same name as Feminism but have a completely different agenda
Feminism has always had points, and yes there are injustices in this world for both boys and girls, men and women. To only look at half of the picture is to only know half of the story. In places that women are sold as slaves boys are as well, as a man can never know what it is to be a woman nor a woman a man to say one has it worse is disingenuous and counter productive. We must look at how a society treats PEOPLE not just women, or men. Taking the blinders off is important to see what needs to be done. Feminism has always been about only half of the picture and always wanting the privilege but not willing to pay the price for it.
Protest are specific. ALL PROTESTS FOCUS ON SPECIFIC GROUPS. I've said it a million times to so many clueless assholes. Why in the world would WOMEN come together and be like "you know what feminism needs? Men."? Bc we can't put ourselves in a mans shoes. We dont know anything about being a man so do you think a bunch of women can speak for men? No f*cking obviously. Thats why we speak for us.
No, feminism has said multiple times that it is the ONLY group to address gender issues. I give, as an example the feminist response to Karen Straughan's "toxic femininity" speach, where it is plainly stated that feminism is the proper vehicle to address mens issues.
Also feminism has actively and willfully harmed men it. It is one thing to work for equality, another to send thousands of innocent people to jail due to political motivations (Duluth Model of domestic violence), and it is also abhorrent to allow a rapist to prosecute her victim due to political ideology (dear colleague letter) ever since the declaration of sentiments feminism has actively sought superiority for women over men, and HIDES behind a mendacious dictionary definition. Feminism is a cancer and needs to be eradicated from civilization.
To me the acts of the individuals are trumped by the acts of the political bodies that act in feminism's name. Policies and budgets that are directed by feminist organizations, speaches at the UN, groups that actually effect change that, to me, is feminism. So the individual coffee shop style feminist supports the movement through monetary donations, rebloging, retweeting, sharing videos, etc etc all of which is funneled back to create hate based legislation. Being an activist is all well and good if the actions of the parent organizations are pure, but feminism is anything but.
I dont go by how people portray something. I go by the meaning and what it stands for. There are feminist that are against those type of feminist so I don't know why people like to generalize but when they're being generalized they have a problem, right? So hush thanks
Portray? feminism is portrayed as a benevolent organization working towards equality. It's the actions that matter, how it is taught in our colleges, how it acts in the political sphere.
There is nothing wrong with pride in authentic femininity and an expectation of equal opportunity. That is what the Woman's Liberationists, aka Bra Burners of the 60's wanted and have mostly achieved. But today's practitioners of Feminist Derangement Syndrome (FDS) have long corrupted the movement into angry entitlement, just as today's race hustlers coopted the honest Civil Rights moments of the 60s. Thank God there is a cure for FDS. It is foreign born Asian and Hispanic women... genuine traditional females. Keep your easy sex, psychodrama and sexual politics. Go Lesbian and die childress so you can't spread the disease. And have a nice day.

Hey, so about the whole wage gap thing...
Its not about "having a vagina" per se, its more like... If you're a woman and you have children?
Women work more part time hours to be a parent, and are discriminated against because they care about their kids more than their jobs. Part time workers get paid less per hour than full time workers. Maybe if child rearing and house keeping was more evenly split between both parents, or was properly compensated because it benefits society as a whole, the wage gap would close reasonably.
or, people who work less will make less money becuase that's fair. You get to enjoy the love of your child while someone else is working so...
@kickme
The last statement is literally "please don't let someone educated on the matter who won't say "fuck yourself" debate me"
Smart, but really?
@bat0209
4) Rape isn't the woman's fault.
It's the modern crap that is very offensive to men.
teaching boys to wear pink and style hair is anything but awesome.
@kickme Lol, transforming them into beta cucks.
Im not that type of feminist so if you're looking for one that actually thinks feminism is about men, she's dead.
That's what I'm doing, speaking about it. The last time I cried was 4 years ago.
Yeah you're speaking about it to me. But what am i gonna change for you?
And those aren't the only problems. Y'all have the privilege of receiving fewer days in jail for the same crime. I don't see feminists mentioning all that.
Thats why men should. Tbh honest with you feminist aren't going to talk about men because men aren't the focus of the movement
Yup. Mindset needs to change in india. It is actually with my generation. Maybe by the end of next decade, there will be huge tonal dhift
Calm down, eat a Snickers.
It's not my fault everytime feminism or anything to do with the mis treatment of women is brought up Indians and India are always mentioned.
@followthebuzzards Well, women in India do have less rights than Western women do. That doesn't make it your fault; it's just fact. No need to get so defensive.
Well a lot of white women use this generalisation to not date Indian men saying we're all sexist pigs who mis treat women.
Also I am only Indian by race so I am basically persecuted by white women due to the colour of my skin.
@followthebuzzards dude. There are other women. Its their loss if they are prjudiced. Generalization sucks. Men also has problems at how they are being perceived in society😭. But tougher for women in india comparitively.
@Gouthamfab
But it's not my fault nor my responsibility.
Is it @snowangle fault if a white nationalist committed a hate crime?
And thats okay
I'm surprised feminists have been relatively quiet about the atrocities of Sharia Law, for fear of being racists. Sharia Law has nothing to do with race but abuse to women being practiced in the Middle East. (slowly coming to the west)
I think that is what COCOCHANEL is talking about.
Thank you for responding!!
Men can have their own group. I dont speak for every feminist. I believe in mens rights
Then maybe you believe in Egalitarianism.
Instead of feminism.
I do but im also a feminist. Believing in other things doesn't cancel out my belief in womens rights.
Certain things won't get cancelled out but certain things do get contradicted.
I believe in mens rights and womens rights. But i won't merge them and fight for them together. The issues are so diverse it would be separated anyways
"Most men and women are starting to realize that modern feminism is not right."
Such a rookie move if u do not see what women are doing.
@LovemesomeBumbleBee What do you mean?
(I also understand your profile picture and name to the T)
the wage gap, rape statistics (rape culture) , Campaigning against Manspreading, People campaigning against a men's issues awareness day/father's day, also alimony and men not having having any part of the decision in making a baby / child support, women wanting cheap health care for women's issues (birth control, abortions). There's more, but those are the things that come to mind.
There's also overwhelming sentiment from some feminists that since men aren't oppressed they don't have issues and we should ignore them. They believe my issue is bigger so therefore your issue doesn't matter.
I believe in the wage gap, because its real. Its not a Unicorn. Everything else is bs. Thats what the cult side of feminism thinks but not me
The wage gap is real but that doesn't mean that men are being paid less for equal work.
@bat0209 Feminism does not represent equality. By it's nature it is exclusionary. Intersectionality cannot be achieved via feminism.
qz.com/.../
Men have higher professions because that what their used to getting. Its called exclusivity. Look it up
It's called willing to work long hours away from the home and taking jobs that require travel to remote but higher paying areas. Also types of degrees earned, why do you think STEM is such a big issue right now? Look it up.
@Wwwyzzerdd If you looked up exclusivity youd know that what you just said backs up exclusivity dumb*ss
@TheUglyMonk UglyMonk, my previous reply was destined for XOXOME, the owner of this post. Sorry for the misunderstoodment.
@Anastasiya00 Completely my fault, sorry about that.
@TheUglyMonk How the f*ck are we supposed to take action if its not talked about it first? I swear you're so dumb.
@XOXOME16 " I'm all for equality but I'd rather take some action and not complain about it nonstop, complaining only does so little. " I might be dumb but I'm sure I was clear.
@TheUglyMonk Action can't be taken until people discuss it. Just like anything else
And no, the good fight isn't over.
"In many many parts of the world, Women can't even own sh*t or wear what they want. In order to have a house as a woman, you have to marry a man with money, honey. They tell you what to wear, when to speak, what to say, what to do, how to live and you have to do it, BY LAW"
- Can you specify where this is true? Where did you get this from?
Without pulling up resources, YET, ik the middle east is a big fan of hating women. Hell, they dont even have the right to live.
No right to live? What are some middle east countries with a population that are 100% male?
If we're gonna go with terms or labels then I prefer identifying as an egalitarian.
only asking for curiosities sake, what do you find distasteful about it?
I label myself as egalitarian as well.
Thats how i felt but then i realized i dont need to stand for just one thing
XOXO are you referring too feminism or egalitarianism?
@KenM9215 Egalitarian. I can be a feminist and want rights for men, which i am, without changing the label just so people are less offended. I just think men and women have different problems. Women have problems, like i talked about. Men have to do more with the 1st world justice system and etc.
thefederalistpapers.integratedmarket.netdna-cdn.com/.../feminist.jpg
Oh so funny with you and your memes. Try pulling up some points instead
Im would - but you wouldn't listen anyway. You showcased that already to the guys who told you that the wage gap is wrong.
Thus I rather not waste my precious time with a self-righteous ideologue like you.
Then stop replying to my stuff. Simple. And just because i disagree, doesn't mean i dont listen.
I do reply as much as I want though. Tough life.
And you don't listen to people since your arguments have no arguments. It's merely "this is like that, because it is like that". Very impressive.
Thank you and i support most of what you said but, your rant lacked a actual first world example of why we need it and the only reason people dont care about Feminism anymore is because of "feme-nazis" that use the same name as Feminism but have a completely different agenda
I dont think the 1st world nedds it that much which is why i didn't really focus on it
Feminism has always had points, and yes there are injustices in this world for both boys and girls, men and women.
I AM NOT FEMINISM THOUGH. IM A FEMINIST. I DO DIFFERENT SH*T THAN MOST OF THEIR ACTIONS
