Swearing, it is Not Attractive

I recently went to a NHL hockey game with my family, there was a pair of ladies sitting behind me that had had a couple of drinks.

Swearing, it is Not Attractive

They were dropping the f-bomb constantly, among other vulgar words. I was baffled by how they were displaying themselves in public. One of them had a child, and I got too thinking, what would their child think if they saw their parent drunk and conducting themselves with a lack of composure? I certainly would not want to see my parents in that situation. If I had a dollar for every time I heard a vulgar word come from them I would be able to pay for a colleg textbook.

1. It shows a lack of maturity

There are so many other words in the English language to replace these vulgar filler words that have made their way into people's vocabulary.

2. It isn't classy

Swearing excessively is not dignifying, personally I think it is not something to be proud of. There is a significantly better way to speak, utilizing the many words developed over time that have academic merit as well as a sense of eloquence about them.

3. First impressions are important

The first conversation or interaction one has with another is the foundation to how the other person views you.As well as judging how you conduct yourself(is it with dignity and respect?), if how you conduct yourself is positive and professional than you have most likely made a good first impression on them.

In conclusion, the way one conducts themself around others and the way one interacts with others is defining when it comes to how other people see you. I am not referring to outward appearance, but rather the personality aspect. While outward appearance is important, a person's personality transcends any aesthetic flaw they may have.
