Kill Them With **Confidence**

Many, many girls my age and in high school, maybe even in college or beyond, struggle with many insecurities and deal with a lot of drama - way too much for somebody their age, or any age! The majority of the time, I hear advice like, "be yourself", or "kill them with kindness". But in reality, being nice won't always get them to stop. It's your own ideals of self-worth that will let them know just how unbreakable you are.

The problem with trying to take people down by being kind is that every kind person has a weak spot. It's like trying to take down an entire tree by hitting it with an axe once: it might leave a small mark, but you're way too far from actually bringing down the entire tree, and it could even heal.

But, if you take that axe and just keep swinging, there will come a time when the entire tree snaps and falls over. That's your problem.

Your confidence is what will keep you from these people. You could even be moderately passive-aggressive, depending on the person. For example, let's say Emma said my outfit is ugly (sorry for the cliche, but it happens). If I told Emma that her outfit is nice, I might look like a follower, a coward, whatever - but in most instances, Emma will get frustrated and try harder.

Now, instead of telling Emma how great she looks, how about I tell her that I look great instead? Yea, maybe my outfit is ugly on an average person, but I look really cute in it!

She might be frustrated. But most importantly, she'll be confused. She won't know what to say in response, and even if she insists that I don't look good in my outfit, I say that I do. And wearer > spectator any day.

Kill Them With **Confidence**

There's not much to this MyTake, but there's enough that'll show you a lesson. Even if you're not confident, you can fake it; fake it until you make it, even!

Good luck!
