Why Does My Husband's Friend Ignore Me?

I am married with 2 small children. We go to a small church so everyone knows eachother and we all are friendly toward one another.

There is this guy at my church who is friends with my husband and he is rude to me. When I say rude I mean he acts like I don't exist. He will not speak to me at all. He won't say hi to me when he sees me. He has only acknowledged me one time when we were alone in the lobby he said hey and smiled very friendly, but literally nothing since.

I have had conversations with him, we have eaten together, he has been to my house to hang out, but he still ignores me. He has even came up to my husband and kids and said hi to them but ignored me. All of my husband's other friends are friendly toward me.

I know I shouldn't care, but when people I have to see and spend time with blatently ignore me, it's hard to treat them normal in return. Also this guy even recently sent me a friend request on fb. What a phony!

I've had a few guys do this to me.
They weren't actual friends with me/my partner just neighbors or acquaintances.
They will greet him and only look his direction (almost as if I am invisible)
I think they are trying to show respect to him by not looking at his lady in any way.
They are doing it has a sign of respect for your husband but ultimately don't know how disrespectful that is to you.
These men do this because they know sometimes another man can be territoral or easily take things the wrong way.
A simple look at someone's wife and quickly become an argument.
"Why are you checking out my wife?"
It's all to avoid conflict.

Very strange. It's to say the reason he's ignoring you, I don't have a clue. Have you talked to your husband about it? I think he should know and maybe he even can know about something you don't to try to explain this behavior.

Maybe he doesn't want to give any impression he's being inappropriate with a married woman.
