Her intent, although the idea is a bit much for a six year old, is to teach her boy to be respectful of women. Especially since he has not got male influence not to teach him not to treat women like whores and bitches. If you think being beta is being respectful towards others then you have a fucked up mentality.
What I think is whack is this alpha and beta male concept. If anything an alpha male would be a provider. If we want to use those terms. An alpha male takes care of his family. He wouldn't want anyone to think that he was not capable. Since when does having manners and respect make a man a beta?
I think that's a little bit much. It almost seems like she is trying to relive her past relationships through her son. Let him have his childhood. If you have positive examples of relationships and good male models around him, he will naturally learn to treat women right.
It goes both ways. Both genders should be taught to make a effort and be respectful of the opposite gender. I agree with her and think it's a good idea except for the paying thing. I believe the bill should be split which is what I normally do when I go out on dates.

My issue is that she needs to teach her son to treat everyone with a little courtesy, but respect is earned not an entitlement. If you open a door for someone, it shouldn't be because of that person's sex, but that person needed help. It's a different era; women want to be treated as an equal. Chivalry specifically aimed toward women is antiquated and needs to be modified in the new century.
I don't see what's wrong with it? I think it's a great idea, with the exception of him having to pay. Daddy/daughter & mother/son dates are something that a lot of people do with their kids. What's wrong with teaching children how to be respectful of the opposite gender? If their parents don't teach them, who will?
I get her intent, and can see how it can potentially be a good thing. But I think it should be for both, women also need to learn to respect others. If more people showed respect and stopped trying to drag one another down to boost themselves up, our society might be slightly better.
I don't agree with single parenting no matter which sex is doing it. I don't think the part about her raising him to treat a woman like a lady is wrong but lots of guys have gone down that road and got burned so I knew a lot of them wouldn't agree. Fact of the matter is I feel like only a man can subconsciously invoke alpha traits into a boy but at the same time raise him to treat a lady. I really believe only women can raise girls into ladies too.
Somewhere in between. Teaching him how to interact with people respectfully and carry a conversation is cool. Money management is a must. Taking him on mock romantic dates is weird, in general, in my opinion. I don't get too caught up in alpha/beta crap, though. But why not just treat your kid like a young human being, rather than a future whatever.
