"Meet me at ______ for drinks Tuesday night." Tuesday and Thursday nights are the best nights for a first date.
The best first date is a date you can "escape from." I like to meet for a couple of drinks or have dinner. Two hours is a long first date. Spending over a few hours with someone you barely know can be too much. I like there to be a "fire escape" on the first few dates. If she or I think think the date is going south, I like to have an "out" that either one of could use to comfortably end the date.
Make the date close to the day you ask her out. Don't contact her; not even on the "day of" to confirm the date. The next time you talk to her should be when she shows up for the date, to call her in case you're running late, or to call to tell her you've arrived at the date. Believe me, if she's interested she'll show up, if she doesn't show up, she's not interested. If she's not inerested, move on; you won't change her mind.
This may sound counter intuitive. "Shouldn't I confirm the date?" NO. You should not call to confirm; don't give her an easy out. Make her call you to say she's cancelling. If you've ever called in sick for work when you weren't sick, you probably paced around thinking about what you were going to say; you may even have chickened out calling in sick. Calling in sick when you're not really sick is stressful. What if your boss called you every morning to ask if you were well enough to come in to work?

You are over 25. Start a conversation with her. Build some rapport with her, and then cut things off once you are have her interest and say something along the lines of “It was nice to finally get the chance to know you a little better. I really have to get going, but how about we exchange numbers and continue our conversation over a cup of coffee some time next week”. If you go up to a grown woman and say something like “will you be my girl friend” out of the blue, its going to come off pretty weird.
for guys 'Hey, I was wondering what you're doing this weekend, I want to go to dinner at (insert nice restaurant name here with good food :) ) and be nice the way you say it. it's as simple as that. I love food :)
dont be like,
"will you go out with me"
be more like... will you be my girlfriend?
it's way cuter in my opinion

for a date: want to grab lunch sometime?
to be exclusive: I love our bond, chemistry, communication, and honesty. I am finding it harder to be alone. You are everything that I've been looking for. If you trust me I would like to be in an exclusive relationship with you."Okay, I've asked you five times already... will you go out with me or not? Stop avoiding the question and reject me already, I don't want to be your friend."
So does this mean we are boyfriend and girlfriend?
