Who would win in a war between Turkey and the UK?

The UK, Obviously, and i'm not just saying that because i'm British...

Their troops go through longer training, Their technology is decades more modern, (Turkey is still using US made tanks / Jets from the Korean/Vietnam war era).

Royal Navy is superior to the Turkish Navy
British army is superior to the Turkish Army
Royal Air Force is superior to the Turkish Air Force

Britain is an Island and an invasion would be almost impossible.
Turkey is connected to both africa and Europe so could be invaded rather easily.

Not to mention the British economy is infinitely stronger and could sustain a war of attrition much longer. Turkey simply could not afford a drawn out war that long, It would be starved into submission.

Not to mention if this did actually one day happen, Its exceedingly likely that the Major NATO powers such as US / Canada / France / Germany Would ALL back the UK.

Even without their allies, Britain is still better off.

The UK would win in naval war, but in land war - Turkey would win, so the war would depend on air force... and the British have more powerful air force.

Note that the Turks have an advantage in manpower... however, UK has the advantage in more modern equipment.

That is simply not true. History is full of examples where countries prosper because of war. China for example created a great nation that still exists to this day. Rome grew to a huge size, and only fell because of internal problems. World war two even helped to end the great depression.

China would still exist, even if it wasn't China, it'd be something else. Same for Rome. Millions of people die in wars, nobody wins

They could not exist without war. The war that lead up to their unification changed everything, and often even stopped many more smaller wars thereby saving lives. Before China was unified there were many smaller regions all fighting over power at once. The unification of China through war, finally brought peace to the region. War is a far more complex issue that war=bad, peace=good.

If war was always bad for both countries then no country would ever want to go to war in the first place. The risks of war may be high, but so can the rewards.

There was that war instead of the other wars, it's the lesser of the two evils and therefor it was good but it's still bad. And countries go to war because certain people who are in charge benefit from it
