John Lang, an activist in Fresno, predicts death and says cops killed him. THOUGHTS?

John Lang, a political activist, was found stabbed to death inside his home which was also set on fire in late January of 2016. However, shortly before this incident, John predicted his fate by making a distrubing Facebook post.

Lang genuinly feared for his life and believed that the "corrupt Fresno cops" were out to get him as further demonstrated by other posts:

According to one of Lang's diary entries, he discovered a license plate scanning scam where Fresno cops would scan license plates at Retail Store parking lots (Save Mart, Von’s, HomeDepot, etc.) in lower income neighborhoods. After collecting hits of violations they then would pull the unsuspecting drivers over a few blocks away from the store location in a marked police vehicle claiming they simply came across their vehicle through routine driving patrols. After exposing these corrupt activities on to social media and comments on news outlets, Lang quickly finds himself targeted by local law enforcement beginning to intimidate and harrass him outside his home:

You don't seem to mention how he actually died. He was stabbed and had his house set on fire. Chances are that either someone tried to rob him and messed up or he was involved in some deep underworld shit.

Doubt that the cops care that this guy was an activist, and I also doubt they were stalking him. He is just extremely paranoid.

The cause of death (whether it was from the stabbing or from the fire) have not been determined (probably because there was no formal investigation that took place, I wonder why?) It is possible that this guy is simply just being paranoid but if the police weren't stalking him how do explain why local law enforcement felt the need to take time out of their duties to go outside his house and use a thermal imager to see if he was home? John has plenty of videos on his youtube channel displaying harassment from the cops (don't know if you checked them out or even care enough to). You could be right but I just think it's very naive to just write it off as "this guy is just extremely paranoid"

That could be a possibility however, the idea that he committed suicide does not explain why he was being harassed by local law enforcement (as evidenced by the videos on John's channel) and why they felt the need to take the time to use a thermal imager to see if John was home or not.
