Men
Women
Which gender is more prideful and let's that pride get in the way of common sense?
Each has a kind of pride of their own. Men tend to be proud as in they like thinking they're the experts at everything, but women tend to have a worse kind of inner conceit. Feeling like they're above men or anyone else just because they're women, whether it's morally or ethically, like in sexuality and visuals: denying it because they want to seem as if they're above lust and carnal weakness. Thinking they're better in bed. Being too proud to admit a wrong attitude or idea just because they want to be right as a woman, especially being too proud to admit when a guy is right and they were wrong.
I do think both genders have a kind of conceit, but to me it seems like women's is more far-reaching in mindset and character.
I would say guys. I mean. It depends on what definition you use, like pretty much everything.

n.
Arrogant or disdainful conduct or treatment; haughtiness. <---Equal prolly
a feeling that you respect yourself and deserve to be respected by other people <---Men, I think.
: a feeling that you are more important or better than other people <--- Equal
: a feeling of happiness that you get when you or someone you know does something good, difficult, etc. <--- Equal
I think men...
And about all the wrong things too.
Women are proud, but know when to bury that or supress it if that's going to help their family > as in take a stupid job or 5 of them that pay next to nothing so they can support the family...
@ManOnFire Oh, for sure. No absolutes in any case, but women are the ones who usually sacrifice for a higher purpose, while men usually can't be bothered to 'give up their pride' to do something useful.
@LittleSally And yet more janitors, garbage men, policemen, and military, are men. Doing something useful. Where most women aren't interested.
@ManOnFire Really? In my country most janitors and garbage people are women and the police and military is getting slowly, but surely heavily populated by women (keep in mind... it's a somewhat sexist society, though)...
@LittleSally Your culture doesn't represent the rest of the world. You also live in a small nation. Most of the world still operates in the way I described with those jobs.
@ManOnFire Well, since I haven't travelled to every country in the world, like you seem to have, I guess I know nothing...
@LittleSally You don't need to travel to know this. Just do some reading, and talk to more people from other countries.
@ManOnFire Oh, I have never thought of that... nor have I ever done it... *sarcasm*
In better off countries - and there aren't a lot of those - men have those kinds of jobs, in third and second world countries - it's the opposite.
You know it best if you've actually been there. People's 'stories' are more often than not subjective.
@LittleSally Uh-uh. Do more reading. In third world countries you do have a lot of women doing the small jobs, but you still have a LOT of boys and young men doing much of the menial labor for their own families for nothing but a couple of cents a day. If it wasn't true, then you wouldn't have so many families in those countries wanting sons so they can work to take care of their families.
"You know it best if you've actually been there. People's 'stories' are more often than not subjective."
- So the people who actually live there and have grown up in the culture can't be trusted? Not only do you offend them with such a statement but it implies that what a researcher or other source says should matter more than what the people who live (d) there say. Last time I checked, native people give it to you straight and a lot more real than any of your feminist studies.
... men, although I am yet to meet one with more pride and stubbornness than me, my father being the ONLY exception here so far.

I think the general idea of masculinity also includes pridefulness, while femininity includes timidity.
If we take it into account that many people shape their behavior to match the expectations laid out to them or at least influences them to feel bad about not adhering to said expectations, then males will end up more prideful than females.
We are by far!
I can speak for myself I tend to get violent when my man pride gets hurted. Its my way of making sure that when people remember some situation they will remember it not for my embarassment but for the fear they had. If I sound like a horrible person I swear I only do it in extreme situations
Women have higher egos than men. I sensed it back as a teenager, that the ones who dress slutty are the ones who act all arrogant because of their beauty.
Fucking pisses me off how female egos have it up their rears.
prideful, for sure guys are more prideful!
one example is guys feel the need to buy a lot of dishes just to show off they are worthy or have wealth. Even if they are struggling.
Women are definitely more prideful and full of themselves.
Men and it's pretty stupid because they act like prideful when they're so ridiculous
Dunno , but the poll clearly tells us that girls are more biased.
Men are gonna say women and women are gonna say men so there.
Prideful? Men
Narcissistic? Women
