Any reason to express your dislike over someone's preferences will be used and abused on the internet. They do it because they want to vent their self righteous ideas that are densely intertwined with their insecurities over not being in the group of people you are attracted to, despite the fact that the "average" person like you is attracted to them.
I guess the idea is that you should like people regardless of their skin colour, that the skin colour isn't relevant. However, we can have tastes in hair colour and eye colour so why not skin colour. As long as you're not inferring that one particular colour is inferior, which you aren't, then you have a right to like whatever you like.
No matter what you do, people will get pissed off. Its not a big deal. If you said you are into people of any skin color people will get pissed off. If you say you are only into dark skinned people, people will get pissed off. It doesn't matter what you do. So just go on anout your way.
I know how you feel, I get the same reaction when I tell people my preference is white guys.
I was raised in the suburbs majority white people, the schools I went to I saw more whites than blacks.
Even when I say this I am still "racist towards my own kind".
Yea i usually prefer mixed dudes, but i love dudes of all shades. But its funny cause my mom and my friends is like "Nooo light skinned dudes are so stuck up and conceited. Get you some chocolate" lol smh

I am skeptical about what we would both considered pissed off but I can imagine them being shocked as you have a minority opinion so they keep badgering you about it and it comes off like they are pissed when they are really more surprised. I wouldn't call it racist but I wasn't there so who knows.
Because they can't grasp the simple logic that you're generally attracted to who you grow up around. And Albania is not exactly a majority dark skinned country lol.
All my female friends gets pissed when i say i like east Asian women, they say i have a yellow fever, i want submissive women and other bs.. While in fact i really like their look. They are slim, soft skin, beautiful face, eyes and hair and very feminine looking. I like white girls the most but whenever i mention i like East Asian too they get pissed at me, its quite weird.

I think some people just feel personally attacked even when they're not. By saying you prefer something they see it as you find specifically them ugly because they aren't a part of that demographic you are fond of.
