Why do guys touch a girl's hair?

I recently had a guy I know and talk to sometimes touch my hair unexpectedly. He just gently stroked the end of my hair by my face for what seemed like no reason and no...I didn't have anything stuck in my hair. So, what could this mean? What reasons do guys have to touch a girls hair? What does it mean when they do so?

As a guy I see a girls hair as pretty and it appears to be soft and it makes want to touch

it. Maybe we should ask why ladies like to run there fingers through the guys hair. my guess it's the same reason.

Most guys love long hair, and it's super soft. At least compared to ours.

i agree with dellfavorite, he thinks you're cute and is flirting with you. I know some guys that will play with girls' hair but not stroke it.

because he thinks your cute and wants to caress you. It's kinda of a bold move, I wouldn't feel comfortable doing this to someone I just talk to, it could be seen as creepy.
