I was in a long distance relationship for a while and I will say it is hard. It takes work from both people. When it's a situation where you both work it can be even harder because as it is you only have cretin days you can see each other now you have to hop you'r schedule's will match, coast of gass. But if you love each other enough it'll work out great. It did for me :)

Uhm, mine is 18 hours away by plane flight. I think you can manage.
An hour apart I cake some people manage to kee strong even if they are in different countries. If you like him and he feels the same, go for it. My ex and I were 4 hours away. I wish we were only 1 hour away. We did break up recently. Ironically distance played a role in the break up but they were other problems. But distance itself wouldn't break us up.
