After 4 years my girlfriend wants me to work out and get a six pack etc. Should I do it for her?

I've been with my 21 year old girlfriend for 4 years. I'm 22. I've always been within a healthy weight range, however I've never been much in to working out at a gym. I keep fit by playing sports and jogging.

Over the past few weeks, all of a sudden my girlfriend has been saying that she would like more of the "perfect man" physically. The kind of man who has an extremely toned, muscular body with a six pack at least.

She has never been one to say these sorts of things. We've even spoken about it over the years and she's never been interested in discussing my body. She's always just wanted to talk about personality and other character traits. I was even going to a gym for a month there and she really wasn't too fusssed about me attending it.

Now it seems like she wants me to have a six pack etc or she will lose interest. She keeps saying things I should improve about my appearance all of a sudden, when she hasn't shown an interest before.

I'm not really interested in working out, so should I pay all the money and invest all that time in the gym to satisfy her new standards, or should I just be the man I've always been?
