I generally focus on college aged girls who may actually appreciate the money. Since I generally spend 5 minutes talking to them I tend to pick somewhat attractive girls because it's just more enjoyable ( I have given money to two random guys as well, it was just less fun). However, as you can imagine, this always comes across wrong and I freak people out very fast.
I am sincere in the my intentions, there are no strings attached, and I don't expect anything in return. I just enjoy games of chance and I like playing one.
What I usually do: I say hi, I'm doing a random experiment about money can I take a couple minutes of your time? If they say yes then I hand them whatever happens to be in my pocket (usually $30-$60 with ones always on the outside) and tell them that they can keep all of it, some of it, or give it back and all I ask is that they tell me why.
Of the 10-12 people I've tried this with one split it and gave me back half but when I went to walk away she stopped me, one counted it then told me how she would donate some and keep some but gave it all back anyway. A couple flipped through it before giving it back. Nobody kept any on the initial try.
So, is there any possible way to continue enjoying this game without freaking out everyone I ask? I just want to have some fun, I'm not looking for anything other than giving some money away but I don't want to cause problems either. Everyone I've asked says it's impossible to do without freaking people out but I'm hoping someone has an idea. It shouldn't be a bad thing to give money away.
