Ok, first of all, not every girl takes the same amount of time to do things, no matter what (Facebook, homework, texting, calling, whatever). So please, don't go acting like all girls are the same.
It could be that you send long messages which need a long answer and they don't really feel like answering such a long message right away and after some time they forget to answer u.
It could be that they get so many messages they don't even take time reading some of them. It could be that they're not on Facebook all the time, it could be ...
U see? There are different reasons to why they're not answering right away. If it's an important message, don't send it on Facebook. If it's an urgent message, call them, don't send it on Facebook.
1. Why do girls take so long to reply back to Facebook messages? Some gals may take long because they are busy, have things they consider better to do, or don't want to communicate with the sender.
Bit of a logical leap to conclude that just because gals take so long to reply to you that gals take so long to reply in general.
2. It seems like on average, it takes about 2-3 weeks for girls to reply to my Facebook messages. Why? They're not that invested or interested in you.
3. Do you guys just get so many messages that you get tired of answering them all the time so you just don't do it that often? Some gals do.
She either doesn't use Facebook.
Got bored and replied to you as something to do.
Or you are messaging too soon and making things weird for her so she will reply just before she knows she will see you so its not awkward.
If you have only met the girl once or twice - didn't talk that much... don't msg! its weird and you just become "oh see that guy over there, he msged me on Facebook and I don't even know who he is!"
They either like to seem busy so they don't look desperate, or they don't like you.

I hate Facebook. I think its a bunch of dramatic bullsh*t and its retarded. I get on it evry week or 2 to see if anyone sent me a message. These girls might hate Facebook too
Because, that is the third way of being social for women, It's not an afective way to communicate, so we just take our time responding. Say urgent! :)
She doesn't want to talk to you. she probably responds quickly to people she does want to speak to
2-3 weeks for a reply...
Maybe she's not interested.
