How many people is a good amount for a party?

What do you consider a good sized a party? What do you consider a small, large, and a too large party? Share your thoughts.

Small is under 10, I wouldn't even really consider that a party, more just like a hangout with friends. A good party I think is between 15-40 people, enough so that you know most people there, and you can also still talk to lots of people, and not feel like you are just another person at the party. Parties get too large when too many people you don't know are there, people start to separate themselves, they're not interacting with others, the host no longer has control of the crowd, etc.

There are actually certain laws against having a certain amount of people in a certain area. It's because of fire regulations. You might want to ask about the capacity your area is allowed, so that you don't get in trouble

i like 10-20ish people once you get above like 25 it becomes a sh*t show and no longer is fun especially if its at my house

To me it's sorta like this:

Small-5 to 8

Large-10-20

Too large-25-40

Then again it does depend where you have it.
