Guys, what does it mean when he won't dance with you?

I guess this question requires some knowledge of the American club/bar scene, so keep that in mind as I ask...

My friends and I often like to go out to bars/clubs and go dancing. We dance with each other - girls dancing with girls, guys & girls (where one or both have significant others) dance with each other, single guys & girls dance together, etc. So I dance with a lot of my guy friends, regardless of if they have a girlfriend or not, and we all know it's just about having fun.

There's this one guy friend (he's single) who won't dance with me no matter what. It was really awkward tonight when everyone was "paired up" and we were the only ones not "paired" and he still wouldn't dance with me (I left to go to the bathroom until the song changed and everyone got new dance partners).

My thinking is that he finds me particularly unattractive? (For reference, I've been told by others that I'm "slightly above average looking.")

Guys, what do you think the reason is?

Just to clarify, when I said "I left until the song changed," the reason I left was because I tried dancing with him but he kept moving away from me or looking in another direction. (this has happened a few times)

I don't dance, I don't like to dance, I can't dance... I wouldn't dance with a girl even if I liked her. Looking in another direction could mean he's shy, and doesn't want you to ask to dance again. Instead, just have a talk and drink.

In my case, it would be because I'm an insular nerd who sucks at dancing.
