What horror game is good to play with girlfriend?
If other give name description
If talking about a video game I would go with Dead Space. The first one. Just any kind of game, I'd go with Murder in the Dark. Get a group of people, preferably at least 6 including yourself, and find a place the is big enough to run around in. So, if someone has a big enough house. Take 6 cards. Ace, Jack, King, Queen, and then any amount of number cards that there are people. So, if there is 6 people then 2 number cards. The Ace is the Murderer, Jack is the Detective, King is the Detective if the Jack is found dead, Queen is the Detective if both the Jack and the King are found dead. You play this in an area that is completely dark. If the murderer goes up to you and says your dead, then that person can't move and has to lay down and can't say a thing. If anyone else runs across someone they think is dead, they ask if they are dead and the person must tell the truth. If the person is dead then the person that finds them screams Murder in the Dark. At this point the murderer and and everyone else will meet up in a location picked at the start of the game. At this point, you turn on the lights in that room and only that room. Then you can either have the detective and only the detective make an accusation, or you can make it so that anyone can make an accusation on who they believe is the murderer. If they get it wrong, they are out for the round, and you turn off the lights again and start another round. Continue this until the murderer is caught or until everyone is dead. If the accuser is correct then that person wins and you start a new game with everyone picking a new card, so that way a new person (more than likely) will be the murderer/detective. Any dead person that is found must go to the meeting place after someone yells murder in the dark. If a person is dead and they haven't been found when someone screams murder in the dark then they must stay in the dark right where they are while everyone goes to the meeting spot.
The murderer can only kill a person if they are alone. Because of this, no one can travel in packs. Making anyone that is scared of the dark and doesn't want to lose the game even more scared since they are all alone (ie most girls and from the sounds of it, your girlfriend). To add to the scariness, have the murderer sneak up behind their soon-to-be victim and put their hands over their mouth, and whisper "You're dead",so they don't scream since this will be in complete darkness. The hand over the mouth will startle most people if it comes out of nowhere, and in the dark would make it all the more scarier. The murderer, and only the murderer can move a dead person (hiding spot) so that person is harder to find. But must be careful not to be spotted when doing this.
It's a really fun game and if everyone takes it seriously, doesn't cheat it can also be rather scary since it's in pitch darkness. I prefer an area that is extremely big and a place that you can make extremely dark. So, clearly best played at night time.
Ran out of space. Lastly, the murderer has to touch their victim. If a person thinks a person is the murderer and they run away, the murderer can't claim that person is dead. They must kill them by touching them and by doing it sneakily. When I'm the murderer, I'll go up to people (especially ones that hide) and ask if they are dead. If they say no, I then say they are now. So, try to be clever, but it's not tag, so the murderer must be as discreet as possible.
I didn't see that this was a poll question at first, so this is written as an overview to scary games in general.
Video game: If you have a Wii, there's a game called Lit. It's a puzzle game, where a student is stuck in his old high school; the high school has been taken over by demons that "infect" or possess typical high school characters. Basically, if you touch the shadows, a creature will grab you. They stay out of the light, so you have to figure out how to turn on computers, etc to get enough light to get to the exit in each room.
I believe there's also one in which you take pictures of a haunted house (DS game?). I don't remember the name of it, so it's of little help... Sticking with the Wii system, there's ZombieU - game for the Wii U.
There is Portal, and it's unofficial prequels: The Half Life series. There is Bioshock - Both Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite have some very dark themes, and some very cool story lines. Bioshock 2 is a bad game (or so I am told, so it's not included in the list) Bioshock one is especially creepy, though infinite has it's moments (Boys of silence jump scare scene anyone?).
There is Ghostbusters, but it's more... horror comedy/action. It's not SUPER scary, but it has some moments. I have the Wii version; the animation kind of puts a damper on the creepy factor, so you might go for the more realistic version for other platforms.
There's the F. E. A. R series (1 and 2); Eternal Darkness, Slender (Haven't played, but heard good things), Doom (especially Doom 3), Silent Hill (Homecoming is definitely creepy), Left for Dead, Resident Evil, and Dead Space which come to mind.
I realized you weren't asking about board games after writing an early draft, but I decided to include them, anyway for those not big on video games:
There's an old one my family played once; It's a VCR game, so it's really old; its called Nightmare. I don't know if it was popular, or if it's had any updates, but... it was cool. He progressively ages; towards the end, he's got bugs crawling around him. Fun, but kind of random.
There's also the Ouija board, but it's more the "mood of the party" that helps or hinders the experience. I've gotten scared reactions performing with this, and "blah" reactions (I hang with people who love scary events; seances, "spook shows" haunted tours, etc, and have helped set up haunted houses and parties for years; I love (and hate) "scary").
There's Arkham Horror series. I think these are card games.
There's Gloom, (which is one I want); it's not super scary; it's more in the vein of creepy humor; like reading the Addams Family cartoons or Ghashlycrumb Tinies. The fun is coming up with stories about horrible things that happen to a family. There's an episode of Tabletop (Wil Wheaton web series about tabletop games) that shows how to play.
Hope this helps!
Slender is only scary the first one or two times. After that, it's no longer scary. Left 4 Dead 2 isn't scary and neither is Saw. Silent Hill would be fine as long as it isn't Downpour. That game was horrible. You could try Amnesia. The 2nd Amnesia game, Machine for Pigs, comes out on the 10th I think. Condemned is a good one too. Dead Space one and 2 or FEAR one or 2 are good as well. SCP Containment Breach is pretty neat, it's free too.
That's all I can think of at the moment lol
Amnesia
Dreadout
One late night
Go to YouTube and search either: yamimash or markiplier they play scary games and are really funny. I love them both
Mhm... I almost got a heart attack playing GORE... OMG F.E.A.R is supper scary! I've played that before..

I voted before I answered and the votes couldn't be more true.
Silent Hill blows all the others out of the water. The only game that can hold a candle to SH is the FEAR games, specifically one & 2 (in that order). The same for Silent Hill...1 might be hard for most to get into because of its age. But 2 and 3 were amazing. 4, I actually haven't played all the way through but it was pretty good from what I did. Silent Hill: Homecoming was horrible but did have some disturbing bits in it, so I'll give it that.
But I'm rambling...Silent Hill BY FAR!
Amnesia: The Dark Descent
Silent Hill 1, 2, 3 & 4 (Especially 2)
Slender: The Arrival (Not as scary as Slender, but jumpscares everywhere)
The Walking Dead by Telltale Games
Lucius by Shiver Games
yeah SH2 is #1 choice for me if a girl were to watch/play
Silent Hill Collection or the original Silent Hill which can be found on PSN for $6. Dead Space either the first one or second one. Bioshock, I know it's a fps but it has moments that make you jump. Resident Evil 4/5. Manhunt, really good just avoid the sequel as it was censored.
You forgot Resident Evil 1. The voice-acting is pretty scary: "And, Jill, here's a lockpick. It might be handy if you, the master of unlocking, take it with you."
I totally didn't see other. I would say dead space 3. It's new with a decent storyline and good playability. It also has plenty of "ah sh*t what was that moments."
Slender definitely! It's the easiest to pick up and no story line of hard objectives, making it real fun and scary!
The original dead space is suppose to be. I didn't jump or get scared but well I do watch horror movies for fun and out of boredom.
Slender is good for the first couple times but then it gets repetitive. Silent Hill and Amnesia are great games to play with your SO.
From your list, I'd say the Silent Hill games. Otherwise I would recommend Siren: Blood Curse, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and the Dead Space games.
I've never really played any horror games, except for Slender, which I thought was stupid. They aren't really my thing. However, a friend of mine said that the original Dead Space is the only game that has ever scared him.
l4d2 is awesome to play with anyone and it super easy to learn...
I voted C. I remember playing that a while back and really liking it.
They suck at video games, so maybe Zombies Ate My Neighbors?
Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Hands down.
Try playing "Make-Believe We're Married"
Amnesia would probably do it.
Silent Hill 2 or Last of Us gets my vote
If you have a PS3, The Last of Us.
Amnesia: The Dark Descent
Dark descent
Fear
Silent Hill
