Why are most men mesmerized by Emma Watson?

I never understood the fascination men have with this actress, claiming her to be one of the prettiest ever and to so hot etc.. Basically men just seem to be bewitched by her and I don't get it.
I mean, there are a lot more attractive faces in Hollywood, angelina jolie, jennifer lawrence, amber heard, scarlett johanson, jessica alba etc.. and I am just talking about the face here not the overall body. I don't get why emma watson is considered to be gorgeous. To me she's slightly above average, and cute but not in a "oh my god she is so beautiful how can such perfect looks ever walk earth" (and well I do get amazed at some famous women beauty sometimes..)

So what is it? Can someone explain? IS it part of the whole "beautiful to women" isn't the same as "beautiful to men" ?

You wanna know why I personally find Emma Watson "Mesmerizing" as you put it.. here's why easily:

She reads books (yes they still exist lol). She reads inspirational books and heavily promotes them on her instagram page. She's not using kindle and audiobooks but being seen with old age good 100 page+ books... and call me old fashioned, but thats bloody wonderful to see and slightly sexy.

she's business savvy, and was appointed goodwill women ambassador in 2014. She's extremely passionate about romans rights and breaking the traditions and guidelines set by and for men.
That kind of passion is admirable.

she's just not your typical girl of todays landscape in 2018. She's very goofy, she's humble and passionate, she's hard working, she's determined to break new ground, she's not afraid to be herself in a world that caters to so many that follow the trends or the path easily taken , savvy lol.

She's attractive... More attractive, Angelina Jolie, Amber Heard, Scarlett Johansson? Nope they aren't more attractive than Emma Watson, not for me... Jennifer Lawrence is what i'd consider almost as pretty and Jessica Alba for me is better looking. Women don't have good taste in women, many guys don't even have good taste in women. It obviously varies from person to person, I wouldn't say i'm bewitched by Emma Watson but she's definitely my type moreso than most the other you named. I mean from that list I think Jessica Alba is by far the best looking...

I think it's more of how she holds herself, she has a face of elegance and class, she never does anything crazy like a lot of celebrities and she is a very talented actress... she's a good role model and has a great presence. Hell, I'm a straight woman and I love her. It's not just because I grew up watching her in Harry Potter, she's a very bright, beautiful, and talented actress.

She's short, pretty, skinny, under 30 and smart plus she was the main girl in a major franchise and guys are her as the charcter they liked.
I guess she represents for a lot of guys that girl they liked in school but never dated or the girl next door.
angelina jolie, scarlett johanson, jessica alba are looking very old these days. J-law is not tgat attractive in my opinion.

I would be inclined to say its a combination of a few things. For starters she is undeniably pretty cute, but something i think that will definitely come in to place is seeing her grow up as a 'school girl' in the harry potter films. and like it or not, the school girl fantasy is really quite common.

that said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. even in the little list of actresses you have provided, someone like jennifer lawrence is stunning in my eyes, yet someone like angelina jolie is average at best.

There are an infinite amount of ways different women can be beautiful. There's really no way to analyze and explain exactly why Emma Watson is beautiful. She just is. There's a haunting look to her (in a good way) that is hard to describe. But you may be right about there being a difference between what women think is beautiful and what men think is beautiful.

I think it's that her amazing personality makes her way more attractive than she actually is (I see her as a very high average)... not many people can pull that off except, maybe, Jennifer Lawrence.
