Are men 'trained' to hate on women?

I read this article on cracked today about how men are 'trained' to hate on women:

Granted, its supposed to be humorous, but I was wondering how much truth is in this? (in your opinion)

Here's the main bullet points:

5.We Were Told That Society Owed Us a Hot Girl

4.We're Trained from Birth to See You as Decoration

3.We Think You're Conspiring With Our Boners to Ruin Us

2.We Feel Like Manhood Was Stolen from Us at Some Point

1.We Feel Powerless

So guys, how much do you relate to this? Ladies, what's your take?

Well I think the only way in which we are trained to hate women is the sense that, experienced guys, know that being totally nice gets you nowhere. So in a sense yes, we are trained (by women) to be more of a d*** to you. In the same hand, we are taught to be dominant over you, which many times can be viewed as being superior. But women have a hard time telling the difference between being dominant and being an ass/chauvinistic, and as a result, as do men. There is a gray area between those two.

To the bullet points from the article. I'm not sure I completely agree with all of them, but I can try and explain what they mean.

5. Again, I think that society is taught us that yes, if you do things right (have a good job, treat people right, look good, etc.), that you should be rewarded in some way, more specifically girls should want to be with you. Especially since we are taught that those things are what women want. So when you follow the formula to get a girl and don't, it can be frustrating.

4. I think its a combo of both how men think and how society places women. Men are sexual and visual creatures. So usually our instincts point to these things first. Having model women plastered everywhere only exacerbates this.

3. I personally don't think is male specific. It's a human trait. Sex is placed in high priority (see maslow's hierarchy of needs). It's like sleep or eating, our instincts make us prioritize it over other things and as a result it can get us into trouble.

2. This I fully agree with. Gender roles are fading and I think that is a bad thing. Gender roles were not forced upon us but women act like they were. They came about because it was biologically natural for us. Men like to protect and provide, women like to nurture and build the nest. By women essentially saying we not longer need a man to care/provide/protect us (some women literally say this), you are taking away what we were born to do. It be no different than men all of a sudden saying, I don't need a women, I can raise my child without her. We feel like we are no longer needed in society and that our job is no longer unique. The male gender is losing its uniqueness. I think femansim has played a part in this and which is why while I think women's rights are fine, femanism has gone a bit to far in some respects.

1. I think this goes hand in hand with #2. It's becoming a women's world and I think men now feel like instead of being the one to call the shots, we're having to do everything for the sake of pleasing women. Women's expectations are going up like a rocket, and men are struggling to keep up. Just like how the media gives us idealistic images of women, it does the same thing of men, just maybe in other ways than physical looks. In a nutshell, it used to be men who were the boss in society and women had to please us, now men are the workers and the women are the boss we're always find ourselves striving to please but never seem to quite succeed in doing.

The grain of truth is that I think a lot of guys are trained to view women on pedestals. They are also taught that being nice and doing nice things is how you win over 'good' girls. They are pretty bitter when women are ... well human beings, and that sucking up actually gets you friend-zoned.

They are wrong to be mad at 'women' of course, they should perhaps be mad at the people who gave them such crappy advice growing up.

I agree that a lot of guys have a false sense of self-entitlement and they belittle, objectify and judge woman who do not conform to their standards and then complain about how every woman that they want seems to "run" away from them and not want to be with them and they can't figure out why. They also assume the woman is just as shallow as them and expects her to let him impregnate her on the basis of his sex appeal while he is too lazy to get a job, get a career, get an education, or do anything sacrificial to support this "beautiful" woman that he thinks he deserves. He advertises over and over again that he wants a reasonable, suitable, stupid and hot "slut" and after failing to find woman who are receptive and willing to give him what he "asks" for, he complains about there are no attractive woman in his city and wants to move on to the next. He is far too selfish to change himself for his dream girl, rather he just keeps using the same strategy over and over again until he finds one with self esteem that is sufficiently low enough for him to control, use and dominate.

First of all I would like to say none this imply men's hatred towards women. I will address these points still.

5. As an average guy it's hard for me to relate to this one. I have always been told to maximize my potential as a man and only then I would be deserving of a wife. Everyone wants an attractive person as their partner (I don't see any problem in that) but how many of them actually deserve?

4. Appreciating beauty is a human nature. I personally don't see problem in that. In that article " We hate you if you're ugly; if you're pretty" this statement was absolutely baseless tbh.

3. "No, it's not some rare, weird exhibitionist fetish, either. It's that they can't even wait the couple of hours it'd take to do it safely at home."

2. I am not sure if I would say women stole our manhood. But, they surely demonized and weaponized it. Again, I still don't see the hatred.

1. I mean with how things are set up now an average man is definitely powerless. If you were to say that men want to maximize the number of their sexual partners then I would agree with you. It's basic male mating strategy. If you also said that men notice physical features in women all the time (women do it to men too) the I would also agree with you. But it still doesn't explain how men are trained to hate women.

I just read the article today earlier. lol.. I don't know. I certainly don't hate women.

I mean the media and today's society has a lot of influence on how men and women should behave to their according socially constructed gender.

I guess it's still a male dominated world in some aspects, and some men feel threatened to see women have as much power as men (in the workforce, relationships, etc) but women can use their sexuality on men.

Tjat's my take.

Somewhat, I guess. Number 5 is the only one that is true for me. He cited movies telling us that, but it's women too. Our moms, aunts, grandmas aren't telling us to go out and be the bad boy. They're telling us to be nice and sweet and this and that. We know girls love those romantic type of movies. So yeah, I grew up thinking if I did things one way, good things would come from it. That's not say I'm expecting the hottest girls ever to be clawing at me.

The one I disagree with most is number 1. I am not convinced that everything a man does is for women.

Number 3, where he was talking about men masturbating in public, I don't know about that. I just think the men who do it are more brazen and stupid with it. lol Some girls have said that they can get off without touching themselves or they sometimes do it in their car or places like that. Surely, they aren't the only ones.

The rest are "meh" to me.

I personally don't relate to it, but I think it's true for plenty (not necessarily a vast majority, just many) guys. It's a general attitude that's obvious in culture, but maturity and rational thinking is a pretty good way of ignoring the bullsh*t instead of absorbing it. Some people reject the "training," others fall right in line because it appeals to what they want (usually power, confidence, privilege, etc.).

if anything I feel like it's the opposite. I feel like the two parties have misconceptions about what the other thinks of them, and they behave according to that idea, but in the end, we all have the game f*cked up.
