Why can't "average" be 8 inches?

I was reading on here last night that "average" is 5-6 inches and that only 1% of the population are bigger than that. Is this true? Honestly 5-6 inches is small as hell!...normally I have been with guys who are larger in that department (my exes were 8 and 9, current guy is 8.5) so its hard for me to believe only 1% are bigger than 6. Is this true? (I know I will get some hate for this post but I'm serious and I'm wondering so I'm not trying to offend anyone plus I also know guys will use boob size as a comback)

  • The best, most true study fell in this order. 80% of guys are between 5 and 7 inches, 10% are below that and 10% are above that. The 1% represents the guys that are in the 8 inch range.

    I think the problem that's going on now, is that guys on average give themselves an inch and a half extra when giving a woman there size. So most women just take there word for it. So that guy that claims 8, is closer to 6 and a half inches in size.

    It's extremely unlikely all of your exes are 8 inches and up, unless you work in the p*rn industry. If I had to guess, your biggest was probably around 7 and a half inches.

  • That is true, I know I'm just shy of 6 and it seems to do just fine in pleasing the girls I've been with.

    I think most girls (for obvious reasons) don't really have a good idea of what certain length actually look like. I mean 8-9 inches is almost the entire length of a ruler. Quite frankly, any guy that long is mostly likely to hurt you by thrusting into your cervix.

    Girls brag about their BF's, saying things like, he's 7,8,9 inches when in reality he's probably between 5-7. It's not like they are taking a ruler to it. An error of an inch or two is an easy mistake when eyeballing a measurement.

    • I'm just telling you that only about 1% of men are above 8 inches, so its just basic logic to come to the conclusion that to have been with 3 guys in a row that large, you most likely don't have the size correct. I still don't really believe you entirely. Most condoms for instance are only 8 inches long max and that's for magnums. Regular ones are like 7-7.5. It's also quite rare to find a girl who's preference is so extreme and strict. Like other have said, must have a lose vagina.

    But I am not bothered about it either way. Personally, I see 5-6 inches as a totally sufficient size. If you have never been with someone who is average sized, then try not to be so negative about it until you have. You are only setting yourself up for dissatisfaction by worrying about it so much.

    • That's true. Some guys might exaggerate, others might measure incorrectly. To be honest, though, my boyfriend actually looks bigger to me than he claims to be (he has measured himself, I haven't). But that could still just be me overestimating.

  • First of all, boob size doesn't matter at all.

    Second, 8" is really long. And, that would be a lot of girth.

    Maybe 10% are above 7"

    Maybe 1% above 8".

    The odds of you having three partners only, and all three being over 8" are roughly one in a million. Which means hey, a few hundred American women will experience this on their first three partners.

  • What kind of girth are you looking for? If you want and can accommodate almost a foot of length, and a proportionate length, there are other appendages on a man that might be fun too.

  • Averages do change somewhat based on ethnicity. If you want better odds of an extra large penis, folks from Africa are probably your best bet.

  • Ummm...if the average is 5-6 inches and only 1% of the population of the is larger then you'd be dealing with a HIGHLY skewed distriubution, which I don't think exists in nature. Assuming a normal distribution and a precise average of 5.5 inches, then about 50% of guys would be larger than 5.5 inches. This percentage would decrease as you move farther away from the average.

    as for the measurements, I think that percentages might be higher then 1% maybe like 10-15% of guys are those sizes to be a little realistic with you, in which case you are a pretty lucky bird to have all three partners those sizes
