Do you let yourself feel your emotions?

I find it very hard to allow myself to feel sad about things in my life that don't work out. I'll brood about it. Talk about it. Think about it. But I won't cry or allow myself time to just be sad. Do you ever feel like you don't have the right to be "that sad" about something?
