Why does he cry when he is the one initiating the break up?

Basically the question. My ex-bf broke up with me because he thought it would be 'best for both of us'. Why on earth would he cry if he thought such a thing? (FYI the breakup was not mutual.)

  • He still loves you and it hurts to let you go. But for whatever reason, he felt he had to. Sometimes things in life happen like that.

There are a lot of reasons a perfectly good couple can't be together, or one gets preassured / forced into giving up the other.

    It usually involves family preassures.

    • But being sad and crying is quite a distinction? I've been on the other side of the break-up, and I've never cried when I thought it'd make me happier.

  • Because he thought you might not murder him right there if he looked sad and shed crocodile tears.
