Ok, this question is not for me but for a friend. The guy that she likes tried to break up with his girlfriend multiple times over the summer. However, his girlfriend kept saying that he couldn't break up with her. She hangs on him in school but he already made it public that he doesn't like her anymore despite her saying they're still a couple. So, is he still considered in the relationship just because she didn't want to break up or is he technically available and the relationship is considered to be over?
Are they really broken up?
What Guys Said 2
relationships are a mutual agreement, so if he wants out, he's no longer bound by relationship boundaries0
technically available and the relationship is considered over because it can't be hold by one side.0

You said he tried? to break up with his gf? Tried? so meaning he didn't. If he broken up with her for good, then he is single and can date whoever he wants regardless what the ex says.0
