The moral question. Would you help your ENEMY? in this specific situation?

There are an ex-wife and ex-husband. He lives abroad and comes to see their kid. Paints the walls in the kid's room and a little accident occurs, small injury to the spine.
The man has to stay a week longer, as he can't move properly and has to lay down to recover his spine.
The divorce was the result of his guilt and he never financially contributed to help to raise the kid.
The woman wouldn't like to see the man again in her life... but keep the contact only for the sake of the kid. Now she has to 'nurse' the man. The woman wastes her time as she is so cross, she can't focus on anything positive.
A hospital doesn't take in, in such light circumstances. The man doesn't have the money to stay in the hotel.

Would you stand the presence of this man?
( or any reasonable suggestions?)
